Lol Doode - I was just thinking it wasn't Meat but a damn good impression! However, I do agree that it really shows the potential of how good it could be if Meat did it.

Definately Meat, sounds unfinished - either a Demo or a B-Side i'd guess

It does sound like Meat, but his voice sounds younger and rejuvinated...Like way better than the vocals on DYELS or lesbian love.

We'll hopefully find out when/if this second video gets removed. Meat's picture is gone, and it has tribute written all over it.

"Tribute to the rock legend Meat Loaf. This video has no connection with Red Pony Tours or affiliated in any manner."

So if its removed again....its safe to assume its not a tribute i would think

Well, I really don't have a clue! Some parts of it really sound like Meat and other parts I'm not so sure about! We'll have to wait and see!

I'm pretty sure this is Meat Loaf - and I agree, more than likely a demo. Having listened to it a couple of times I think that it has real potential when cleaned up etc. Hope its on the next album.

Default Another theory

Perhaps this was a vocal coach exercise that got out into the public domain somehow? That would explain the use of a cheap backing track.

Its meat's accapella studio vocal recording timed to a bad karaoke track.

The reason some of the high notes dont sound like meat is because its auto tuned and timed to the karaoke track which is at a faster tempo.

Im surprised that second video isn't taken down yet

But if someone had access to the vocal track they would also have access to the piano tracks too. That theory doesn't work for me.

what???? The vocals are always recorded separate. why would they also have access to the piano track? It'd be hard enough trying to leak a studio recording of meat singing and seeing as no mastering has taken place on the vocals I doubt the track had a signified piano track at all.

Because they would all be part of the same Pro Tools (or equivalent) session, regardless of when then were recorded. It's what I do for a living so I'm reasonably confident of that....!

backing track or no backing track... that certainly is Meats vocals. Some of them are pretty bad so its clearly very raw and early vocals. Could even just have been meat messing about with something I dunno. But without a doubt his voice.

That's a good idea ! I don't usually scutinize songs or listen to what are possibly sneak releases, but this one has piqued my curiousity. I've listened twice now. The first time, I felt sure it was NOT Meat, but after a second listen, I felt more it may be. HOWEVER... lol ... it's that middle part... I don't know what you call it musically, the bit ending with "but you aint seen nothing yet" (I think it is... I'm going by remembered Garth Brooks version, which I really love), that throws me. That's where it looses me a bit. I want to say it's a pretty good impersonator, but then I start to chuckle at the thought it just MIGHT be Meat and I guess he's the best impersonator of himself out there... lol ... I'm going out on a limb and voting "not Meat" ...

xo

I know this because that's meat's voice and I just tried to auto tune forever young and his voice sounds the same auto tuned as on this track.

also the karaoke track is identical

Hi everyone, my first post on this forum. I think this track might well be from the forthcoming Dylan 70th birthday tribute album. I am a fan of Mark knopfler and read on his site that he (Knopfler) is doing a track.
- Colin

Edit !

From MK News: "I'm much looking forward to going out on the road with Bob in such a special year. Also, it was an honour to be asked to record one of Bob's songs on the forthcoming Amnesty International 50th anniversary album to mark his 70th birthday" - MK

It sounds so much like him. ALSO

Could tribute to THE rock legend be Bob Dylan? as in meats tribute to Bob Dylan?

The new video states:

MEAT LOAF

Make you feel my love"

tribute to the rock legend

If you look at popular books they go in that same order:

Creator

Title

Interesting fact.

Listen to meat sing cry to heaven and some live songs. It sounds like him. IMO. I would bet my liver and kidneys on it. still my opinion.
