We all have our opinions on meat's vocal on HCTB and on the three Bats.
But what was his best vocal performance of the albums rarley talked about? In my eyes, his best vocal on any album, including HCTB and the three bats, is on MATLAF. May not be his best album, but hell its his best vocal IMO. BBIS and BA close second and third respectively. Last edited by Wario; 25 Apr 2011 at 22:41. |

WTTN for me. I love Meat's version of Original Sin, Martha and Where Angels Sing.

I think the vocals on Blind Before I Stop are the best of any human that has ever been recorded in history. Only Bad Attitude comes close to that level. After that, I'd say the WTTN voice is my favorite, though it's very different.

CHISB for me. I fell in love with Meat because of that album, and his amazing vocals.

Couldn't Have Said It Better, followed closely by Welcome To The Neighbourhood. I think his voice is amazing on those albums.

I personally think his vocals on Bad Attitude were powerful. So if I could have voted it would have been that. BBIS was also great.

I remember saying @ one time, it was a shame He hadn't recorded anything else between '87 & '92.
I said Blind. But with his swift decision to record a followup for HCTB, it doesn't matter so much now what I once said now :) |

My vote went to Bad Attitude. The memories that album brings of the times I first heard Meat live are enough to push that era to the top for me. |

Question though, if he so butchered them, couldn't they unbutcher them? I mean the masters of those recordings but be around somewhere..

Potentially they could, but is it worth the time and cost? Sure we'd all love a remastered reissue of BBIS (although if it happened we'd have to ban Wario and hide any keyboards within a 100 mile radius of his house!), but I can't see it having commercial appeal outside of the immediate fan base, and hence wouldn't be commerically viable.

Staying true to the topic; how would you handle the lead vocals Wario
I notice that was the one album where Meat would do those (Rawh) 3:06 into Getting Away With Murder. They always me chuckle I would multiply those about 25 times |

I think it could actually be an interesting story, one that is bound to interest people far more than I think people found the "Patrick" story. Going back and doing over an old album is something i've not heard of anyone else doing. And it could have a great title. "I once was blind but now I see" |

Dead Ringer because of the enormous amount of emotion and performance in every word. Then WTTN because of the incredible ease of delivery.

Tough decision between Couldn't Have Said It Better and Welcome To The Neighborhood. I think WTTN wins. I think WTTN has more powerful lyrics on most of the songs so the vocals come across with more power.

BBIS then BA then WTTN then CHSIB are without a doubt his best vocals aside from Bat1,2,3 and HCTB... personally I think his vocals are not that good on MATLAF and DR it just sounds like he wasn't emotionally involved like the others and you can really tell by the way he sounds in those 2 albums that he didn't enjoy it at all

They may very well prefer it, but I don't pretend to know what people who were interested by the "Patrick" story think.
