the performance was, indeed great. Did you notice when they bounced eachother heads somewhere in the end. I think that was a great moment.

In nearly all of Meat's albums execpt for Dead Ringer and Midnight, he sounded brilliant and his voice sounds different on every one of them. After the Bat 1 tour, he started to have his vocal problems but it
recovered during the Midnight tour. During the WTTN tour, he started to sound a bit bad again probably because of all that touring, on Beacon he sounded fine but on Intimate, that's when his voice took the bad road. It was like that again from 1996-1999 and I have this recording of Anything For Love at the NOTP show at Belgium and he didn't sound great there. When I first saw TOTP2, I taught he sounded a bit weak since when the backing came in, it reminded me of the show at Wembley in 1982. I believe he'll sound great on the tour. Regarding the new album, his voice doesn't go as high as much as it did before. So let's hope we have a Good-Voiced-Meat all throughout the tour. I'll also be going to the show at Dublin and it'll be the first concert I ever went to. (I couldn't go to the WTTN show at Millstreet because I was too young.) M.Bison |

However meats sounds i think its great. Yes indeed on each album it sounds different but i think it gives abit of extra character. in my opinion his voice in BOOH is very strong because it is a strong album, where as in CHSIB most of the songs are soft songs so i think he sings it that little bit mellower to give that softness and character.
Just my opinion, which i suppose you probalbly wont agree with, but BOTTOM LINE, meat's voice is good woteva. i've probably made a complete ass of myself sayin that but you dont know where i live so you cant come after me!! |

Yes, that threw me for a second! From the tiny clips I have heard, Meat seems to be hitting some big high powerful notes on the new album - and to me, that's what makes Meat, Meat.

If anyone is a bit confused here ... Meat posted regarding the original post without noticing that Lisa had resurrected a thread that was started so long ago I don't think the internet had even been invented back then
