Just watched it. When Natalie drank the thing and I saw Meat's reaction, I almost wet myself.

Boy that Monk episode was certainly a fun one to watch. From his stand up hair to his very 70's van to his "IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE PERFECT" line. I found it all pretty bizarre and damn funny. And by bizarre I mean that in a good and creative way. Trying to piece in where the NY Yankee bling belonged and the preacher hat. Just good ole' fashioned funny.

And yes, the Mr. Monk and Reverend J. did make a good team in the end. And another show where Meat didn't DIE. Meat has survived House, Citizen Jane and Monk. Oh and obviously he survives Ghost Hunters which airs next week here in the states. Meat's on a living roll. LOL.

Have to say I've never watched Monk before, but I quite enjoyed it. As a horror fan I liked to references to the exorcist and final destination.

Meat was quite good as the mad voodo guy, though I think the role had more potential.

One thing I didnt get

How did the paramedic know Natalie would drink that stuff and need an ambulance? If all was planned by her, she couldnt have known Monk would get the reverend, let alone she would incidently drink that stuff.

As a "Monk" fanatic, I thought it was an OK episode that Meat really helped. Many Monkophiles are saying it was their favorite of the season - but i always tend to prefer episodes they dislike, for me this one was in the middle. If you liked "Monk" watch "Mr. Monk Is Someone Else" for the best episode this season.

Good point! I actually didn't get knee deep in the plot like I normally do. I mean I started out taking it seriously until Meat's character appeared with his hair up on end. I was laughing most of the time. I just didn't take this episode seriously at all. Was that a bad thing? I dunno', just thought it to be entertaining without really observing the plot connection there.

cool, I never knew you could do that! (hide spoilers) I don't even see where it tells how, so thanks :)

I don't think the paramedic planned any of that. Monk said at the end he thought she had sent Natalie the doll just to try to unnerve him (the implication being she didn't even intend to kill Natalie, which makes sense because she would have gained nothing by that, and indeed risked a lot).

I thought Meat was hilarious in the role :) I expected it to be funny, but it was better than I expected.
The "It doesn't have to be perfect!!!" and the 911 were hysterical, but there were so many other little funny parts like when Natalie said couldn't he fast forward to the end, and Jorgensen said "No!" and followed with a hurt little expression, lol..
I had sort of forgotten how funny Meat naturally is .

I love the little spoiler button too

I absolutely agree with what you said Kathy. I thought Meat was absolutely hysterical ! I started laughing as soon as I saw him with that hair and I thought the entire scene with Monk was absolutely brilliant.

I don't know why, but the ambulance chase scene reminded me of something out of Leathal Weapon (or maybe the Blues Brothers) and I would love to see Meat do a buddy / comedy movie

Monk is more for the comedy and enjoying the characters than a mystery show so you can't take the plots too seriously anymore - especially after season 3 the mysteries started taking a secondary role although they still have a good mystery ever now and then. I love the show because it is lighthearted and quirky with some broad humor and a lot of subtle humor. This season is a big improvement over last and Meat was an absolutely perfect casting. Great job Meat, I hope this gets you more roles - as long as you don't give up singing of course. If Monk had another season left I wish they could bring Meat's character back he was a great fit on the show.

I caught it on friday at 9 and I think at 11, been awhile since I watched the show. When I first caught it I was like ml looks like he stuck his fingure into a light socket. Then later on had to laugh at the 911 line, lucky totems in the van, and how he said "Get another ambulance cause this one is cursed". I thought the rev would have had a heart attack with having to put up with monk. Plus a few days earlier I caught a movie called Citzen Jane with ml as well.

Did anyone get the Exorcist reference when he shows up at the house in Monk???

I loved this episode. For once, here was a character who could distract one from Monk's at times grating OCD. Meat played the Reverend to the hilt, pulling every nuance out of the dialogue that made it even more hilarous, and I, too, wish he and this character could be brought back again. He and Monk played off each other beautifully.

Just watched it. It was hilarious and it was nice to see him in a funny role. Made me forget how disappointed I was about Ghost Hunters.

Aww come on you don't want to ask the light up thingy if they liked it to?

Sorry it's late, drank a 44 oz of pop, ate candy, and catching up on the board messages.
