EXACTLY...so why Meat? Because they wanted him to appear in the movie, even if it was just for a moment...

It often happens here...somebody EXTREMELY famous is given a walk in part...like a waiter in the restaurant...usually that movie is done by friends and it signifies some kind of an inside joke...

In a sense, a very small cameo can be much more effective.

For example, remember.....

"Well, to tell you the truth," says the Pope, "they never let me drive at the Vatican when I was a Cardinal, and I'd really like to drive today."
"I'm sorry, Your Holiness, but I cannot let you do that. I'd lose my job! And what if something should happen?" protests the driver, wishing he'd never gone to work that morning.
"Who's going to tell? Besides, there might be something extra in it for you," says the Pope with a smile.
Reluctantly, the driver gets in the back as the Pope climbs in behind the wheel. The driver quickly regrets his decision when, after exiting the airport, the Pontiff floors it, accelerating the limo to 105 mph. (Remember, he's German.)
"Please slow down, Your Holiness!" pleads the worried driver, but the Pope keeps the pedal to the metal until they hear sirens. "Oh, dear God, I'm gonna lose my license -- and my job!" moans the driver.
The Pope pulls over and rolls down the window as the cop approaches, but the cop takes one look at him, goes back to his motorcycle, and gets on the radio.
"I need to talk to the Chief," he says to the dispatcher. The Chief gets on the radio and the cop tells him that he's stopped a limo going a hundred and five.
"So bust him," says the Chief.
"I don't think we want to do that, he's really big," said the cop.
The Chief exclaimed," All the more reason!"
"No, I mean really important," said the cop with a bit of persistence.
The Chief then asked, "Who ya got there, the Mayor?"
Cop: "Bigger."
Chief: " The Governor?"
Cop: "Bigger."
Chief: "The President?"
Cop: "Bigger."
"Well," said the Chief, "Who is it?"
Cop: "I think it's God!"
The Chief is stumped, " You been drinking, John? "
Cop: " No Sir."
Chief : " Then what makes you think it's God?"
Cop: "He's got the Pope as a chauffeur."

hold on...youre talking about getting him as himself, so the name appears in the credits and his fans will recognize him and see the movie. I was talking about directors who cast him as an actor to play a character. In that sense I repeat my thought, that the bigger his role is, the more likely it is that the director wanted especially him to play the part.

I remember something about the guy who date 51st State.
He saw Meat's picture on the cover of his autobiography through a shop window and thought "THAT'S The Lizard".

Meat's apparently filming 2 movies at the moment, he said recently. But Focus, Trapped, 51st State, A Hole In One and Blacktop are pretty good.

It was indeed but I like odd movies. But I don't know what to think of the villain. On the one hand he's a ruthless, despicable killer, on the other hand he appears to be a quite likeable guy. Maybe I'm just biased because I'm a Meat Loaf fan but I even felt sorry for him in the end.

Yeah but so was Rocky Horror and don't even get me started on Fight Club. But being odd doesn't mean it was bad though, just different.

I didn't say they weren't good, just that they were different.

that a movie is odd or different doesnt mean it has to be good. (speaking of HIO here, which was in my opinion poor)

Tell you what, the day somebody ties you to a chair and puts a gun to your head and makes you watch, i'll put my underwear over my pants, tie a towel round my neck, smash through the window, punish your assailant, release you, and leave you in front of a nice Duke Special DVD with a nice bottle of Bushmills.

Until then, you don't really need to be saved from the movies, just don't watch them

Does he just have bit parts in these other movies or appear in them quite a bit?
I found Rustin and Black Dog online along with others that star William H. Macy,Lacey Chabert and others and am curious as to his role in these movies as no real plot was offered in the advertisement.
Any descriptions and recommendations would be appreciated because I have to get my Christmas and birthday list together and I would like to know which ones are a must see, etc.

Thanks!
What I have seen the good and the bad............everyone is a critic.......
Good Movies
I liked Black Dog, Leap of Faith, Roadie, Black Top, Formal 51, Rocky Horror, Waynes World, Everything that rises, Pelts, Dead Man's Guntwlight zone Gettysburg episode, Extreme Dating (corny but funny), Fight Club,The Ballad of Lucy Whipple, Trapped, Crazy in Alabama, The Mighty, Tales from the Crypt, & Nash Bridges.

Bad Movies
Motorama was weird, Bloodrayne sucked (video games shouldn't be turned into movies) A Hole in One (strange & has a weird monkey in it) & Wishcraft, .
