Guys...this year's turn out in nominations and voting is outstanding!!!

Thank you very much one and all...

As mentioned before...there are a lot of nominations...competition is fierce...and from what we see so far with votes coming it...voting is split...in other words...so far it looks like some nominees have equal amount of votes and are going head to head...

This means...

Those who didn't vote yet...please do so...this time...every vote DEFINITELY counts!!!

I need help

I don't know half these people in the nominations lol. Can I skip catagories or do I have to vote in everyone? Also in some catagories there's none I'd choose

I know that's my own fault I should of nominated

Whoever missed the nomination phase...sorry about that but Meaties are running this year late as it is because of the tour...hopefully there is somebody left alive here to run them next year for a longer period of time...but hey...I was still getting them close to midnight on the cut off date...so no matter how much time...it's never enough...

And as to the new category of worst moderator...discussion about new categories goes way back...once again...nobody seem to have suggested it...and we haven't quite considered it...this is done for fun...and although we do have most bitter whatever category...it's just to send these people a message...and it's ony one negative category there is...

BUT...should you have suggested worst moderator category in a timely manner...there is no telling...it might have been implemented...

On a serious note (I know, happens to me once in a while too):
From my experience with competitions like that I can say that "worst..." categories, dont make anyone happy, neither the people who 'won', nor the people who didnt.
We had some serious trouble in school a few years back with a person voted 'worst teacher ever'.

OK, this is supposed to be a bit of lighthearted fun, nothing more than that. Let's not drag it into a witchhunt or slanging match please!

Claims, no matter how veiled of any type of vote or nomination rigging are way out of order and are completelyoff the mark. This is hardly the Oscars or a Presidential Election is it?

If someone hasn't been nominated, they haven't been nominated, simple as that. It doesn't mean that their contribution to this board or to the Meat community as a whole isn't appreciated and valued.

A few notes on the subject:

1. This is supposed to be funny and light hearted competition...there is nothing serious and/or truly meaningful about it.

2. Nominations mean nothing if people don't vote for nominees. So if the person doesn't deserve something they are not going to get it one way or the other.

3. There was plenty of time allowed for both nominations and voting. Thread was requested and has been stickyed by mods. So it was very visible. The only way you couldn't see it was that either you weren't online for whatever reason or you just didn't care.

4. In order to avoid the conflict of interest, I've sent my nominations to Claire and she has sent hers to me. We did NOT nominate ourselves in any of the categories.

5. Even the President of the United States is allowed to vote for himself. However, this was NOT the case here. Once again, to avoid the conflict of interest me and Claire exchanged our votes and did NOT vote for ourselves in any and all categories we were nominated.

I think you're right about some of the names being a surprise as nominations...BUT...we just collected the nominations and listed them...we didn't question them or analyze them...that wasn't required...

However, votes should prove who is nominated rightfully...it's votes that count in my opinion.

Please vote for the people you think are truly eligible to win...

Every vote counts...
