does anyone know what the biggest crowd
Meat has ever performed at (not including benefits or ballgames). Probably in an open park or stadium and during a big tour like the Bat 1 & 2 tours. I am think along the lines of 50,000-100,000. PS> Has Meat Loaf ever done a concert in a stadium before , he always sticks to Arenas and theatres whenever I see him , I have seen him during every tour . |

I think Meat played Wembley Stadium in the
1980's but only 20,000 fans attended ! |

I'm pretty sure that you are thinking of Wembley Arena, which holds around 17,000 for a concert. Wembley Stadium could hold around 60,000 plus.

I imagine that the biggest crowd that Meat
Loaf played for was at The Nassau Coliseum in 1978 , there was a soldout crowd of 21,000 people . You must remember that Meat Loaf doesn't usually have a budget high enough to play big stadiums . He usually plays the usual locations : Wembley Arena , The NEC , the St. Austell Coliseum , the Odeon Hammersmith etc. These places hold between 5,000 - 15,000 people. |

I prefer him to perform in places aroud 10.000 ppl. I went to a Tina Turner concert in the Amsterdam Arena (Ajax football stadium) and had around 80.000 ppl I think. But the sound was just poor. One big echo. The sound and ambiance is best in smaller places, like Rotterdam Ahoy. (where Nigh of the proms was held)

Meat played at Boondal in Brisbane on the BOOH2 tour and sold the place out, 10000 approx. He was told that he could open the centre right up and double the crowd but he refused as he reasoned the fans pay good money to see me I will just put on an extra concert not have more people. That really made me feel that as a fan he was thinking of me and every time he comes to oz my wife and I go and see him. What a ledg. Cheers. DJ. |

I saw Meat Loaf at a soldout show in NY at
the Madison Square Gardens , it was packed full of 16,000 people. I also saw him at Wembley Arena in 1987 during a soldout set of shows there. Meat's voice was at it's prime at that point. I believe Meat has played at the Skydome in Toronto Ontario which holds anywhere from 50,000 to 60,000. |
