And why I hated Shane and Tuakyaway was because Shane was being a yanker on the Couldn't Have Said It Better thread and I accused Tukayaway of being Shane's opinion buddy!

Easy folks, cool down.

I simply do not want to see these forums change into an area where people are flaming each other.
Personal insults are the 1st step.

Did you ever wonder why a part of the OIFC forums is closed?

I do not have any problem if somebody says his opinion about something. I do not care, if that particular person says: "Whoa - that sucks!".
But I do care if somebody is explicitly insulting another forum member or guest poster.

Got me?
Fine.

It is unfortunate that some people do not understand the difference between personally insulting someone, and disagreeing with them.

It is possible to be respectful and not personally insult someone whose opinion you disagree with. It is possible to have a disagreement without being insulting. Insulting a person does not advance your point of view any more than not being insulting. Insulting does not make the other person change their mind. In fact, insulting a person only makes the insulter seem even more silly in the eyes of others. And if you want to be respected, then insulting people is not the way to go.

I thank "the powers that be" on this forum for keeping an eye out for inappropriate behaviour.
