Default New stuff on the frontpage ...

Hi folks,

you may have noticed that there are two new features on the frontpage:
  • The Shoutbox.
This is your chance to post a short comment, rant, joke, story or link (or whatever you need to tell the world) on our frontpage. The Shoutbox should not be used as a messageboard, guestbook or chatroom. To be honest, it's quite useless for that, because only the last 3 messsages are displayed.
  • The Poll.
Another boring poll. I think that this doesn't need any further explanation. If you think that we should do polls from time to time, please vote so.
    And yes, it's a great car. :)

Post your feedback here.

I must agree with you that nor the The Shoutbox nor The Poll are very usefull because they're not setup well. If there would a corretion maybe is could be more usefull and it would be more interesting then before.

b.t.w I think that polls could be a interesting value. It gives the opperunity
the see what the people think of this site or other Meat sites. Thatway these or other things could be changed into a interesting setup.

Hi there,

What should be changed to make it more useful in your eyes?

Keep the comments coming.

Change some of the text. It's old and not updated. Specially that part of the newsletter.
Some other texts are also old and not usefull, i think.

Also the photo gallery. I don't know if it's possible but put some new photo's in it. If there are any. Maybe some pictures on the frontpage.

Also, i would change the layout a bit. The colours of the text, and the way that it's presented (how do you write that? or is is presentet?) and we see it.

Hi Butcher

I said it before in some other post: "I'm just the plumber here.",
which means I publish the stuff the mlukfc.com staff sends me to publish.

I do know that the RVM and some other stuff are pretty old,
but I didn't receive any updates to replace it. As this site is
"recognized" by Left Bank Management as an "official site",
I cannot publish anything which isn't confirmed at least by our staff.

Btw, did anyone of the Storytellers DVD owners check the PC part of it?

Hi plumber,

Well, that is a pitty man. I didn't know that they recognize this site as an official site.

And who is the staff of the MLUKFC.com, i thought you was a member of them.

But maybe you can break some rules, haha
Send them otherwise an email that they must do something about it. Cause that news is really, really old.

Yes, I am. Staff are Anne, Diane, Feleena amongst others.
I just got involved by pure coincidence (you might want to check the 'About this website' link.)

Anyway - I have absolutely no influence on the site contents.
Ok - that's a lie (I do have, but - as I said before - I can't (and won't) publish any content concerning Meat Loaf which isn't negotiated with Anne or Diane.

On the other hand, I'm pretty aware of the fact that this website should rely on news, rumours or any other themes about Meat and that there is a major lack of this lately. This was one of the reasons for me to introduce some new, more generel features to the website (like these forums, the chat room and the shoutbox). This was done in order to form a Meat Loaf community on the web. As far as I can say by now, it's working quite well and what's more important for me: it's unique.

I may be wrong on this one, but our forums are more than just alive and kicking. Since the introduction of the more personalized forums on mlukfc.com our post count has approximately doubled itself within ~ 3 months. And we seem to have a small but growing international community with people from 'down under' (Australia, New Zealand), the Americas, western and eastern Europe (surprisingly including a big bunch of members from the Netherlands, check the memberlist ).

No email - I'm going to talk to them soon. I'll be visiting Meat's show in London and hopefully will meet them in order to discuss this stuff (besides getting my butt kicked by Lucy and getting drowned in beer by Feleena - but that are two different stories).

The fact that a lot of dutchies are member here, is because there is nothing good within our own borders. So we look at the country which has a good club and is nearby. So that is the united Kingdom.
But I agree that the site filling is a bit old. No new news items, no new pictures. The guys at the republic of loafdom are much more refreshing.
But I like the forum here and I think it is a great thing on the internet for meat fans.

Eh?
You may insert a smiley with a mouseclick.
It can't be that difficult.
