Meat Loaf, singer & actor, picks a number from a bowl to see which car he will race in for the upcoming Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race on April 9, 2005 in Long Beach.

Nope. I googled information for the Toyota Celebrity Race and Long Beach,CA newspapers (where the race is going to take place). Much more reliable than the official site if I dare say so.

I noticed in the past that this race has been televised on ESPN2.

Hope this helps y'all.

Meat Loaf ground his gears so loudly that screeching was picked up on the Grand Prix's public-address system a few times.

I won't copy them all in again here but there are quotes and links to reports and photos of the practice session yesterday here

So, how did he do? Did he win? Did he finish? Did he take a wrong turn? Did he see Paradie By The Dashboard Light? Did The Rubber Meet The Road?

Looks like Meat finished 7th out of the celebrities, and 11th overall with very respectable times for 11 laps of a 1.8 mile circuit

We are celebrating the good race (everyone is a winner) with a cool drink - anyone care to join us?

We are also celebrating with the wearing of the CHSIB pit crew shirts!

Really great Meat took part. Looks like he had a lot of fun! Good also that this is all for charity (unlike most car races)!
