First UK tour

Can anyone tell me the year of Meat's very first tour in this country ? I can remember seeing him for the first time at Sheffield City Hall but cannot remember the year

Please help me out ,it's bugging the hell out of me

I would assume that his first tour was during the promotion of Bat, so around 1978 - not sure if he played Sheffield that year though.
He has played Sheffield City Hall a number of times though - I saw him in 1988 and I know for certain he was there in 85 and 87 - not sure of any other city hall gigs.

Thanks for your reply Renegade Angel I thought no-one was talking to me

I figured I was 16 at my first concert which would make it around 79.Yes I hit the big 40 this year

Was it a good gig? - any memories of it?

I remember being up in the balcony as I think they used to call it, we were a long long way from the stage

However as with every other Meat concert the place rocked and from then on I was hooked
