Rare Songs: A Time For Heroes
That was the soundtrack of the paralympic games in 1987 or 1988, I don't exactly know which year it was. Brian May from Queen played the guitars on this song. It has a flowing rhythm and it's also typical 80s music. I think, it has got a nice melody, good to sing. I've heard this song on the radio or somewhere, a few years before I became a Meat Loaf fan. I like it from this very first moment on. But I never knew, who sings it. Later, when a was a Meat fan, I recognised, that he was the one, who sings this song and I was really surprised. Never thought that. 8/10 |

It's from 1987!
I agree with you it's a great song. You can recognize Brian May's guitar playing. I think he is the best guitar player. You never hear break in the change of the note. It's pure and great. His best job's in the "Friends Will Be Friends" but my fav Queen song is The Show Must Go On, Innuendo and Who Wants To Live Forever. Meat is fantastic too. But it's natural! My score: 7 Average: 7.80 (39/5) |

Just heard this song recently, never knew about it (pretty poor for a ML fan). Very good song, you can tell Brian May is on guitars. 8/10.
Does anyone know who wrote it, I was thinking Brian May but he would have let Freddie Mercury sing the song as he also has a powerful voice, though I don't think it would have been better than Meat's version. |

I quite like that song.
One of the first Meat Loaf songs I owned, as it was on the "100%Rock" Box-Set. 7/10 |
