Default THE LIZARD is the best!!

Wow, I just seen Formula 51! Long story short. My friend was over, and he wanted to rent a DVD, I said sure. He said he wanted to see some DMX (rapper) movie. I said Sure why not. So we went to Super Store, and looked for it, but it wasn't there. He said fine, we'll get this Formula 51 movie. Judging by the cover he thought it was cool. Well we got it, and as we were walking home he said, "oh and by the way, that meat and or loaf guy you like is in it." (he always calls Meat that, in fun of course) Well I jumped feet in the air and I said what!!

Well we finally got to watching it that night, and I liked it. It was funny. A lot of swearing, wholy geez, and some pretty disturbing scenes, but its all good, lol. Well I have to say, Meat's Character,

The Lizard is awesome.
I really thought The Lizzard was amazing, nobody else could do it as well as Meat did, and I mean it. Not just because I'm a fan Of Meat Loaf. But Meat did it in a way where he was completely different than any villan. He was a scary guy that you don't want to mess with! Yea, well I hope you guys enjoyed the movie as much as I did.
Great job Fireball!! The Lizzard rules all!!! (forgive me if I spelled it wrong.) ooh, and Lizzard, how did you get the scar on your face?

Hey RSG,

I also just saw Formula 51 recently, and I also wondered why the Lizard had that scar. I bet it was explained at some point in the movie and was cut out of the final version. My guess would be some sort of chemical explosion while mixing drugs in the lab.

I was amazed at just how many times a sentence they could say f**k! I mean, it was literally 3 or 4 times a line. It was almost like it was an experiment to see how many instances of it they could fit in one film.

(Possible spoiler here- don't read if you don't want to know the ending of Formula 51)
========

After I saw this movie, I was telling my husband about it. My son must have overheard, because he then told his Sunday School class that "Meat Loaf blew up", and he was really upset. He thought it had really happened, not just as part of the movie. He was much happier when we explained that it was just in the movie!

Probably Sherrie .. I think it was there simply to provide the reason for his name .. and probably not thought to need explanation any more than Ricky Tomlinson's piles which were there just to provide the play with the minions running around behind him with a cushion :)

It's probably the expletive most commonly used in films/tv now, certainly over here where it tends to be the word used in comedy to convey a picture of people who can't talk without inserting an expletive into every sentance, pretty much "acceptable" now and never bleeped out :) Did you see 4 weddings, or the Full Monty? Rather like Meat just uses that one word in his stage performances so it loses the shock value that, for eg, the phrase used by Migs about Clarice in Silence of the Lambs had

Meat's character in 51st State(as called in England) is superb. He is mad and only Meat could play a character like the Lizard. He has this crazy and insane thing about him and Meat plays it Excellent. Totally agree with you RSG

I was getting a bit confused at the Formula 51 thing there too. I wasnt aware that it was called that. But yeah 51st state is a fantastic movie, I loved it. My boyfriend rented it out not knowing that Meat was in it (or so he says)

Sam Jackson said he went "au naturel" as much as he could, but some scenes required him to wear underwear. He said he mainly did it because he didn't want to be the guy who had to airbrush out his privates!

I imagine he wore underwear during the ladder scene!
Now THAT was hilarious!!!

Now, seeing MEAT in a kilt makes me laugh just thinking about it!

It's too bad this movie got buried in theatres in US.

Just watched 51st State. I enjoyed the movie and Meat's character was great. Good character for him. ? the scar

My only critisism was that there was tooo much swearing for my liking - on the whole though - watchable :)

Loved "The lizard's" slippers

Meat in a kilt - ummmmmmmmmm
