Hi all,
Have a get well card here for Meat, Mousie has passed it on to me, and if anyone else wants to sign it, please PM me with your address so i can send it on to you. I know there is an online get well card, and thats great, but there's nothing like the personal touch  Heat xxx |

I agree! A handwritten Get Well Card is much nicer!

I'd love to participate in the hand-written card as well, but I'm in the Netherlands, Like Mariella. And I'm afraid I would slow things down for weeks.
 Also: some snailmail that I was supposed to get from the USA, never made it here.

 That's great .Great news. Don't forget to post here,so everyone knows what order the card is going round,and who needs to contact who with their address. Otherwise Dottie will have loads of PM's and won't know who to send it too .The easiest way to do it is to post here,then PM the previous poster with your address. If we get a half decent chain,this could be a good thing to continue in the future for Meat's birthdays and Christmas .In the future,we could do this with a lot more time to spare,meaning that we could send the card abroad to be signed by our foreign friends  .At the moment the chain is.... Mouse. Heat. Dottie. Keep signin' up.

This is a great idea!
I like the thought of doing this for his birthday and Christmas. I would do something with a get well card but unfortunately by the time he got it he would already be back on the road. (And I've posted to various message boards already.) I would love to start one here in the US for his birthday. If anyone's interested in this let me know and I can get one going. Since it's in September we have plenty of time to deal with the mail service.

That's great Sherrie. I'll get a card this weekend and we can get this thing started. I'll send an email out to the ROL list (it's just about the only one I'm on anymore) and the OIFC list but for anyone reading and posting here this is NOT exclusively for those on these lists. ANYONE can sign and pass it on. Meat's fans span the globe but just due to the mail time factor I would like this one to stick to those in the US because we can get more to sign it that way. Maybe someone could get one going over in the UK and Europe too. We just have to get a list of people going to get the project going. For anyone who would like to contact me further please PM me and we can go from there.
As far as getting it to him, he's going to be in Clarkston, MI the night of his b-day, I think. I'm going to the July 23rd concert in Denver but no matter what, we will find some way to get it to him. Come hell or high water, we'll get to him. (I just haven't gotten that far yet.) Lady B |
