has that ever crossed ur mind?
it has. espetially on cheating in your dreams. just as it fades out hear a different beat kick in. its always made me curious what that would sound like unfaded. others that spark curiosity include: peel out sailor to a siren rock & roll dreams rocknroll hero |

All of them. I like hearing a proper ending :P
More specifically, I'll Kill You If You Don't Come Back. That song is dying for an extended solo at the end. I hate songs that fadeout when you can HEAR that there is already a solo there being cut off. I know this is a volatile example, considering the controversy that's around here lately, but it works perfectly. Something like how Springsteen extends the end of Racing in the Street into a huge piano solo at the very end for another four or five minutes. A solo of that magnitude at the end of IKYIYDCB would be magical :3 Last edited by Mr. Happy; 17 May 2012 at 10:09. Reason: Volatile! The word wouldn't come to me when I posted originally |

In general I prefer a proper ending, but I think the fade at the end of IGLHFBOU works brilliantly.
It's a brilliant outpouring of emotion and means that rather than the "scene"ending somehow, it leaves me with the impression that he's going to keep on fighting until he gets the girl or "the end of time", whichever comes first. I.e it carries on after we leave the scene. |
