I just got an email that my preorder copy was shipped overnight delivery via Fed Ex from New York City at 11:20 AM today. I'm sure they have done it in some way to ensure that it does not arrive at my doorstep before midnight Friday, but I'll be on the lookout! I have not reread the 4th book since it came out a few years ago, I'm hoping I'll be able to keep up and haven't forgotten very much!

I was joking Chris

I actually don't think you're going to be able to avoid finding out who it is. It's sure to be in all the papers as soon as the book is out.

Well, I am a newsagent. I do not read the papers.

Anyway, I am finishing work at 8pm on Saturday. i will not be in Saturdays papers as it is not out 'til midnight and the printing starts earlier than that (that is why they do not always put lottery results in them!!!!). So I should be able to get a good way into it on Saturday night so if there are any in on Sunday, it shoudln't spoil it too much.

Also most of the nationals, have agreed not to publicise any of the details for at least a week so as not to spoil it for the kiddies!!!

I've never read Harry Poter and know nothing about it,but for those who are interested,it was in the paper today that J.K. Rowling is sueing an american newspaper because they got a copy of the new book and published excerpts from it .

Yeah, a store in New York City sold boxes and boxes of the new book a few days ago. The newspaper got a hold of one of the improperly sold books and published bits in the paper. They are getting sued big time! The owner of the bookstore claims he "had no idea" he couldn't sell it until Saturday. Yeah. Odd, since every single box has huge warnings not to open them until 06/21/03!

I just checked the FedEx tracker, as of 3 hours ago my copy was in Memphis, Tennessee- about 12 hours by car from here. It should be at my doorstep nice and early Saturday!

I am not into Harry Potter in the slightest, although I regard the Lord of the Rings as one of the greatest novels and works of English literature ever!

I just don't like the fact that Harry Potter uses stuff taken from loads of other fantasy books, like Discworld etc, and yet everyone seems to think it is so original.

Still, you can't please everyone!

Never really bothered with Harry Potter either, but Lord Of The Rings is great.

READ IT!!!!

Spent all day yesterday reading the new HP...and hafta say, it's ok, not as good as the others, but it's alright. To be honest, i was a little dissapointed, found it quite hard to get into, and as for the person that dies, well...just read it yourself :P
