My son was promoted to Red Belt (jr. instructor status) in his American Kenpo class. Kudos and so happy for him because all of his fine efforts to achieve his goal has paid off.

I feel like a young child as it seems most people around here have children and husbands/wives.

Same here. Not complaining though since my happy thought of the moment is that I have a carton of cookie dough ice cream in the freezer all to myself and a day off work tomorrow, which is to be spent doing absolutely nothing

I went to an orphanage in Denpasar yesterday with my mates that I'm on holiday with. While we were here in Bali we heard that they were struggling for food etc, so we took them some 25kg bags of rice and boxes of noodles, colouring books, work books and pencils and crayons and stuff, and of course some lollies too :)

The young kids, from maybe 3-8 yrs old sang us some songs, one of them was Sailing by Rod Stewart!! Then we went to another part of the building and the older kids, all teenagers were playing traditional instruments and played some music for us. Then we handed out the lollies and just spent some time with the kids, one little one called G'day was facinated with my camera and commandeered it, took a few snaps, some were quite good for a 4 year old, probably closer to 3yrs. He loved the lollies too. The kids drew some pictures, and one called Koko drew a picture, a very good one and gave it to me as we left, and he will be doingmore for my friends who will be going back before they leave.

Koko is one of 4 brothers and sisters that have been left at the orphanage, all to the same father. It was sad for us, but the kids were so happy, as they don't know any different really. But it was an eye opener, and we have decided that everytime we come to Bali we will be visiting the orphanage. It was such an experience.

What a really sweet thing for you and your friends to do Mel. Today is a public holiday for Anzac Day, which was yesterday. And of course I'm listening to Hang Cool Teddy Bear at the moment!!!!

My boss is still on Annual Leave tomorrow! I would be the most productive worker going if only she would take permanent leave! So I am happy that I have one more day without her interruptions and constant "Helen the font's gone funny, what do I do?" type questions!

It's a good thing that I'll be getting a couple of more copies because I'm definitely going to wear this one out !!

Oh and I have another day off tomorrow to look forward to
