Question - Black Dog/Crazy In Alabama

The problem I find with sitting down to watch a Meat Loaf film, is that I get so excited to be seeing Meat that I tend to miss the storyline!

However - on repeated viewing I still don't understand a couple of things from Black Dog and Crazy In Alabama! It's probably totally obvious but I always seem to miss it!

Black Dog - They call in Patrick Swayze to deliver the load that's in the truck, then Red tries to hijack the load, right? I don't understand why he's trying to hijack the truck when it started out in his yard in the first place?!

Crazy In Alabama - this one could be me reading too much into things to be honest lol! As Lucille goes to persue her dreams she's trying to avoid the police at the same time - how did the police find out in the first place?!

I'm not too sure why, but I'm pretty sure he wants the weapons. The weapons (guns) are hidden in one of the crates in the truck.

I'm not sure. Her character did become `famous', and she did keep her husband's head in a hat box, didn't she? Maybe the police were just investigating his death and wanted to talk to everyone.

My husband (who actually watches the movie, as opposed to me just watching Meat) says that Red was chasing the truck because he could get more by taking the guns after they left his yard due to the insurance that he had on them. He's seen Black Dog easily a half dozen times so I'd imagine that there's some basis for that opinion.

Aww Thank You!!

I used to get really irritated with that - I couldn't figure out why Red would go to all that trouble to get the guns back when they were sat in his yard in the first place!
