Small prob with forum

Hi is wondering if R or someone could help me. I got an e-mail saying that a new private message had arrived but when i went to my inbox it wasn't there. It arrived at 00:56. I was wondering if there's anyway to retrieve it as im afraid it could have been from 'the man himself' or someone. If anyone could help it would be much appreciated. I also am afraid the problem arise as i slightly changed my name a little, but i put it back to the old one and logged in and still no message.

This happens when someone sends a PM to you and afterwards decides to delete it.
