Bat out of Hell Musical UK Tour 2021?
I know things with Covid are very fluid and nobody can predict what is going to happen....
I'm sure I was contacted that my 2020 tickets will be moved to 2021 dates - but now the dates have disappeared from all websites (theatre and BAOH). Is there still a plan to tour at the back end of 2021 if Covid allows? If not should they not be issuing refunds by now.... Thanks |

Yes those dates have been removed, some of them after they had passed. Nobody knows anything about rescheduled dates for either this year or next as nothing so far this year has been emailed to those with bookings. With regards to refunds you're better off asking at point of sale, if no joy there go to your bank or credit card provider. No need to be so defensive |

There has been no official word but it is impossible to tour in the UK right now. You can plan in a tour but if your cast has to isolate, that's the next 2 weeks of shows cancelled with a days notice. Also with the tier system changing every 2 weeks, a theatre that was open when you book the tour could be closed by the time you get there. Also the tour could be in tier 2 one day and that same area could lockdown to tier 4/5 the next day, meaning that the tour can't travel out of the area etc.
I think that we will be in this system for the rest of 2021. I don't think that there will be any touring theatre this year, but we may get shows which are in one place, or theatre in new types of venues. I would be in favour of an arena tour of BAT rather than a theatre tour. There is more space in an arena. |

The ATG theatre group have suggested they will only give a credit voucher. Do they have to provide a cash refund by law?

Yes, but good luck getting it. I'm still waiting for a refund from Ryanair from March.

Any news on the tour - are they aiming for late 2021 or 2022 or abandoned?

When I saw it, it was really early in the original Manchester run. It was a stunning amazing show but I know they were still tweaking the book, plot, songs etc. Is there now a sort of "finished" version that has been set? I guess there are always little changes but more broadly speaking I mean.

You would think the set will be more modest, especially as they are only visiting some venues for a week.
Hopefully the choreography of the dancing will be improved.... |
