Default 92. Alive

This is the START OUT OF HELL & ARRIVE TO HEAVEN topic.
Let's Go to Rock 'n' Roll!!!!!!!

Alive (7)

It's ambivalent to me. It's a hit, but really pop. Like a typicall Desmond hit. It's not a Bat song, it's okay on WTTN or CHSIB but not on bat. That's happy, funny rockdisco... Average...

My score: 7

Average for me too...like it because it's upbeat and sort of defiant...so...

Ummm...yes...same score...7/10

Couple thuis with Monstro live and you've got a great concert opener IMO, or perhaps a greast first encore song. Love it to bits 9/10

This is the best on the album 10/10. I hope I get to hear it live! Really up beat track, great lyrics, well balanced musically. Really great.

It has a very catchy and upbeat sound that just makes me want to dance.

Song's alright in a Bon Jovi album-filler kinda way. Don't like the all-choir take on the verse after the bridge and solo. Good enough song, but not for a Bat album.

7.5/10

All these violins. Is that a piano? They did not put some efforts in arranging it!
Boring sound. Dull.
The background vocals in the extro are nice, way to short ofcourse. And than suddenly the song is over. No extensions. 5/10.

Thumbs up

Didn't like it at first but then one day whilst listening to Bat III with my headphones on I suddenly thought "WOW!!" and got really lost in the song. I absolutely adore it now. So 9/10 for me.

Cracking song. Why shouldn't there be a pop type song on a Bat album? You seem to think only certain types of songs belong on a Bat album which is ridiculous, if something is good enough, it makes the album. Especially such a great song as this. Coupled with Monstro as the lead-in makes it even better.

9 out of 10

I like this one. It's (almost) everything a Meat Loaf song should be. Massive chorus, massive arrangement. As good as any other non-Steinman Meat Loaf song. Still not convinced it's a Bat song, though.
