Default 94. If It Ain't Broke, Break It

This is the START OUT OF HELL & ARRIVE TO HEAVEN topic.
Let's Go to Rock 'n' Roll!!!!!!!

If It Ain't Broke, Break It (3)

One of the worst Jim Steinman song ever. The music is a bad choice, the music is about nothing. I don't feel the power, I feel only noises and loud. It's really not Meat's and Jim's style. It was a soundtrack... the worst song on that CD. In Wuthering Heights - for example - I Will Crumble was so much better. Or Meat should have been working 'Only Wheen I Feel' or 'More' from the CD. This song is crappy, about nothing... Really not a Bat song by Jim...

My score: 3

It's not the best song on the album, but it's not the worst. I do really like the intro when the brass and heavy guitars come together, never heard anything like it, it's so whacky it's fun!

it's a bit of fun, switch off the mind, a good song to play loud

I actually enjoy the song very much...to me it sounds now modern and updated...unlike other Steinman's songs used...

I've never been a fan of this song, ever since I heard its first incarnation on MTV's Wuthering Heights movie, it does absolutely nothing for me. This version is bareable, but only just.

4/10

This song made me laugh when I first heard it and then I heard it live... WOW! I think it works a bit better live though the album version is kick ass. I actually really love this song and I cannot explain why, it's just upbeat and makes me wanna dance. It's a song that if you try to analize too much or try to figure it out it just won't work, just take it as it comes and is.

My son loves this song. Vote 11/10
It runs in the long-term loop, together with land of pig. Only after 20th times, it does me a little bit crazy and agressiv.

Not as good as the Wuthering Heights version (which got the point: short, heavy throw-away kinda song), but still nice enough album fodder.

The song is nothing compared to other short Steinman songs.
To me it is an album filler. A shame.

Hmmm, one of my least favourite songs on the album. It's a bit all over the place tbh. 6/10.

I would love to hear this live! I like the edge to it, definetly has the Meat Loaf fixins The vocals blow the roof, The drums are wicked.

WOW! I love this song to bits! It's over-the-top, loud and fun. This is a classic funky Rock 'n' Roll song!

This song is quite good, I like the lyrics to it. The only thing I would say is that when I first saw Meat perform it at Chatsworth last year, it was a song called only when I feel (or was a combination of two songs?), and it worked much better that way. It's still a good song, but I was slightly dissapointed they changed it.

The first time I heard this song it was a taped version from the HOTD tour and the recording quality was crappy. I was assured at the time, I'd love it when I heard a better quality recording. That person was absolutely right!

Looking forward to hearing it live. 8/10

Has no purpose, and no meaning, without the OWIF sections. Repetitive, dull, repetitive, lacking in imagination, repetitive...

I guess, like most songs, you have to find your own meaning. I agree the song would be better with the OWIF sections, like on the HOTD tour, but I think it is good all the same.
