Default Meat's Death Of A Salesman Dream

MEAT LOAF'S SALESMAN DREAM

Heavyweight rocker MEAT LOAF is determined to star in ARTHUR MILLER's play DEATH OF A SALESMAN before he dies. The I'D DO ANYTHING FOR LOVE (BUT I WON'T DO THAT) hitmaker started his entertainment career in the theatre and went on to act in movies THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW, WAYNE'S WORLD and FIGHT CLUB. He says, "(If I denied tomorrow I would regret) never having been in Arthur Miller's Death Of A Salesman. "I started out as a stage actor in 1969. It's almost a necessity of me to that play."

See it here

Quote: "If I denied tomorrow ..." I'm sure that's a typo!

It's a classic piece of American Theater written by Arthur Miller in 1949 who received a Pulitzer prize for drama, the play received a Tony Award for best play and a New York Drama Critics Circle Award for Best Play. So I would say yes, it's a famous play, if not the most famous American play ever written.

Arthur Miller is also known for marrying Marilyn Monroe.

It's Meat's dream for the future Ross ... I think he's a little bit otherwise engaged right now!

It would be my dream to see him in a play of that calibre .... especially on the London stage!

I've thought for many years that he would be excellent as Big Daddy in the Tennesse Williams play Cat On A Hot Tin Roof.
