Default Your Set List For A Concert

If you could chose a set list of 20 songs for a concert what would they be?

I know 20 would never be enough but you have to give the man some slack, I'd be done afer 2 songs! lol

There must be at least three songs that you don't see or hear about being played too often. You can include opening set's also.

Feel free to edit your list if you make a mistake or "forget" a song.

Mine would be:

Open with a set from Kasim and Patti, just like at Hyde Park!

1. Life Is A Lemon (And I Want My Money Back)
2. Laywers, Guns and Money
3. Decadent Wish (Why was that song cut from Couldn't Have Said It Better?!?!?!?)
4. Did I Say That
5. Love You Out Load
6. Hot Patootie
7. Surf's Up
8. Read Em and Weep
9. Blind Before I Stop
10. Masculine
11. When The Rubber Meets The Road
12. Out Of The Frying Pan (And Into The Fire)
13. Tear Me Down
14. If This Is The Last Kiss (Let's Make It Last All Night)
15. Runnin' for the Red Light (I Gotta Life)
16. Original Sin
17. Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad

Encore

18. Dead Ringer For Love
19. Paradise By The Dashboard Light
20. Bat Out Of Hell

Tricky... very tricky...

Patricia
... still on cloud 9 and wondering where her brains are

ps: 20 songs? why not 30? I know that most of artists wish to die on stage BUT not our Mighty! pliz! I would do anything for Meat but I won't do that...

Edit:
Okay, okay, can't help myself anyway, no matter how hard I tried...
After having sacrified A LOT of beautiful songs, there’s my set list :

Stage entrance :
1. Everything Louder Than Everything Else

Part 1
2. Midnight At The Lost And Found
3. Original Sin
4. I'm Gonna Love Her For Both Of Us
5. Bad For Good

Part 2
6. Surf's Up
7. You Took The Words Right Out Of My Mouth (Hot Summer Night)
8. All Revved Up With No Place To Go
9. Paradise By The Dashboard Light

Part 3
10. Read'em And Weep
11. Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad
12. Did I Say That
13. Man Of Steel

Part 4
14. Out Of The Frying Pan (And Into The Fire)
15. I’d Do Anything For Love (But I Won’t Do That)
16. For Crying Out Loud
17. Bat Out Of Hell

Part 5 (Encore)
18. Testify
19. Rock And Roll Dreams Come Through
20. Forever Young

Without mentionning that new arrangements and extented versions are very welcome!

wow - how difficult is this - I've been thinking about it for ages and the only thing I can come up with is that I'm glad I don't have to do this for a living. There are so many songs I'd love to see live that the concert would go on for hours and hours -

ok here goes but I'll probably be on again and change it...

Peel Out
Do It
Original Sin
Testify
Took the words
Left in the Dark
Rock and Roll Dreams
Bad Attitude
Rock & Roll Mercenaries
If you really want to
CHSIB
I'll kill you if you don't come back
Lost Boys and Golden Girls
Everything Louder
Paradise
Everything is Permitted

read em and Weep
Anything for love
Bat

and now that I've read other lists I could fit in so many more..................

It would be great to hear what Fireball's dream setlist would be.
I know there is more to Meats shows than just a setlist and the setlist on all the tours including this one have been great, but I'd love to know what Meats dream setlist of his songs would be, such as his favourite songs he likes to sing, songs he's never done which he'd like to do but can't for some reason or another, so if your reading this Meat please add your ultimate dream set list.

Wasted Youth Speech -->is there a better way to start a show?!
Wasted Youth/Everything louder than...
I'd lie for you
Unsaid
Dead Ringer
Read'em and weep
Rock'n Roll dreams come through
More than you deserve
Paradise
Midnight at the lost...
Decadent wish
Not a dry eye in the house
Is nothing sacred
Objects in the rear view mirror...
testify
Out of the frying pan

Encore:

Forever young
Bat out of hell

I bet, after that show everybody (Meat, the band, the fans) would be totally exhausted. But it would be an once in a lifetime event :)

Wasted Youth
Everything Louder
Life Is A Lemon And I Want My Money Back
Midnight At The Lost And Found
Objects
I'll Kill You If You Don't Come Back
All Revved Up With No Place To Go
Bad Attitude
Nowhere Fast
Piece Of the Action
It Just Won't Quit
Razor's Edge
I'd Lie For You (And That's The Truth)
Original Sin
You Took The Words Right Out Of My Mouth
Rock And Roll Dreams Come Through

Encore:
Two Out Of Three
Good Girls Go To Heaven
I'd Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That)
Bat Out Of Hell

It was very close but I had to drop Paradise and Dead Ringer for Piece Of the Action and I'll Kill You

Ya - like a conference - so 20 songs not packed into one long day but over two days.

Then there could be a pub crawl - chat - dancing etc

I was thinking just today that it'd be cool for Meat to open with either The Monster is Loose or Bat out of Hell.

Opening with new material in this case is I think a great idea, and it certainly has the power to knock you on your arse Life is a Lemon style, even if it's not a "classic" from his back catalogue the crowd can all be comfortable with.

Or, as for Bat, given this is a third / closing chapter of his underlying musical theme it'd be nice to yank bat out of the predictable ol' final encore position and set the scene with it.

I think 20 is wayyy too many . Maybe at wembley c1986 .

Actually, how many did he play on the CHSIB tour? It felt like 12 or 13?

For me, the perfect Meat concert would be-

Main Show:
1) Life Is A Lemon And I Want My Money Back ((With the MSO opening))
2) Modern Girl
Intro Hot Summer Night
3) You Took The Words Right Out Of My Mouth
4) Testify ((With the cool face-off at the end between Patti and Meat))
5) Surf's Up
6) Did I Say That
7) Midnight At The Lost And Found
8 ) Rock 'N' Roll Hero
9) Heaven Can Wait
Intro Wasted Youth
10) Everything Louder Than Everything Else
11) Original Sin
Intro Nocturnal Pleasure
12) Dead Ringer For Love
13) Execution Day
14) Objects In The Rear View Mirror May Appear Longer Than They Are
15) Paradise By The Dashboard Light
16) Out Of The Frying Pan (And Into The Fire)
17) I'd Lie For You (And That's The Truth)
18 ) Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad
19) I'd Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That)

Encore:
Intro Bolero's Of Fire
20) Bat Out Of Hell

Well, I'm not too sure about the order but any decent set list MUST include several Dead Ringer songs...

Did I Say That
Left In The Dark
Not a Dry Eye in the House
Original Sin
I'd Lie For You
Read Em and Weep
I'm Gonna Love Her For Both of Us
Bat out of Hell
I'll Kill You If You Don't Come Back
Out Of The Frying Pan
You Took The Words Right Out Of My Mouth
Paradise By The Dashboard Light
Peel Out (not too keen on the production of the album version, but would be great live).
Seize The Night
Bad For Good
Monsters Loose
Its All Coming Back To Me Now
The Future Aint What It Used To Be
Everything Louder Than Everything Else
Dead Ringer For Love

Some of these songs may have to make way for other Bat 3 items of course!
