I don't know if this is your problem. But if you tell it to do that and at some point between visits you 'delete your cookies'. It will then force you to log in as will not remember you anymore (that info is stored in the cookie).
Some programs do this automatically for you if you tell them, though I don't know any by name but they tend to label themselves as "PC Tidiers". Or alternatively you could use the menu's in I.E. and go "Tools > Internet Options" and click the "Delete Cookies" button. Hope this is of use. I don't think I could give any more of a technical insite as to why this problem occurs except to say that it's forcing you to log in because it doesn't think it can find the cookie. p.s. for ease of understanding, just think of the cookie as an ID card that proves you are you in this instance. Sorry for sounding geeky! Alex |

What operating System and what browser do you use?
Do you connect through a proxy server? What is the exact error message? Did you change your password recently? Please try again to delete all your cookies and clear your temporary internet files. |

To clear Cookies,
In the browser, go to Tools, Internet Opitions. Halfway down the page there are two buttons, One says Delete Cookies, the other says Delete files. Click on the cookies one and confirm Then click on the Delete files one and confirm. Then close the browser. Restart it and come back to the forums, in the top right hand corner select login adn try again. Hope this helps U.C. PS> Does this just affect this site? Do you have any other sites that it remembers you for like Hotmail/Yahoo Mail? |
