Default Dr. Who

Thought I would start this thread for any Dr. Who fans here.

Who has been following the new series? What are your thoughts? And more specifically how on earth is the Doctor going to survive the last episode?

I am so excited for the finale next week.

I think it has been a brilliant series, and Matt Smith is outstanding. Dr Who has been the best thing on TV ever since it returned.

I haven't seen this week's yet, but every episode this half has been fantastic (the Flesh people ones were a bit rubbish in the first half, but they were just there to service the arc really).

There have been about 1,000 different hints about how they can get round it but no idea what will actually happen.

The only thing we can say for sure is "Doctor Who will return" to borrow a tagline from another classic British franchise, and I for one cannot wait to see how this one ends and what happens in the next series! Who-rah!

I only have seen partials of the new Doctor. I stopped during the David Tennant series. Not because it's bad but I've downloaded all episodes from past to present and I'm watching them in order. It's funny to see how Dr Who has developed over the decades. Anyway I'm still watching the black and white episodes and can't wait untill I'm at the Peter Davidson series (the fifth Doctor). He has always been my favorite Doctor Who.

I'm happy BBC was so wise to return Dr Who some years ago!

I just don't know how they can get around it. We actually saw him die in the first episode, and River has always known she killed him.

Not the Dr Who I know is it? Surely not? How can those cardboard cut out backgrounds still be going after all these years. If it is then the world has not progressed at all. In fact The World Has Gone To Hell In A handbasket! Or change the TV channel.

I missed the last bit of the first half of this series and I need to catch up. I thought last nights was brilliant with James Corden, and I'm looking forwards to the finale. Also it's been said that Bill Bailey will be in the Christmas special .

I think both the episodes with James Corden have been really really great. Saw Dr. Who confidential afterwards as well, and him and Matt Smith are really great friends as well.

Unfortunately the bar was set way above Matt Smith's quiff and he just ain't up to it, more so when his companion Pond is in it. In his defence the change of director/writers hasn't done him any favours either. Did enjoy last nights one with James Corden (even though Pond slipped in it).

I have to say Amy Pond is the worst companion the Doctor has had for many a year, although I quite like Rory. Alex Kingstons River Song character is brilliant though, she could easily have a series of her own!

Lol- not cardboard any more - actual CGI! Some of it extremely convincing. Some of it a little bit not, but for Brit TV it knocks spots off everything else fx wise.

I loved David Tennant too and I was gutted when he left, really felt like a death. I was very sceptical of Matt Smith when I saw him, too young was my first thought. I really didn't think I was going to like it. But do you know what, He's really won me over, he's done a good job of keeping the character pretty much the same but also putting his own spin on it. He's more geeky and nerdy than Davids Doctor was, but i think that's a good thing, and the more I think about it the Doctor should be a bit geeky and nerdy. In fact the more I think about it David was too handsome and cool to be the Doctor. Still awesome though.

I love Torchwood more than Doctor Who at the moment! I was kinda disappointed in the ending for miracle day but Children of Earth was fantastic

Well less than an hour and a half until we find out how he's going to get out of it!

What a weak ending, could see that coming weeks ago!

The only really good bit about last nights episode was the tribute to Nicholas Courtney and Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart.
