Default If youre into Tarantino movies...

thought I'd do my bit of warioesque-off topic-poll-spam (though it's not entirely off topic, but inspired by the Meat/Taraintino collaboration thread), and ask what's your favourite Tarantino movie or what's your general opinion on him?

My fav has to be the classic, Pulp Fiction. Probably one of my favourite movies ever. Nearly every second is perfect (intelligent/funny/suspenseful/dramatic). The only thing that drags a bit is the part between Butch killing the other boxer and him going to get his golden watch.

So what about you? Or is that guy not at all your cup of tea?

Haven't watched any of his movies, way too violent for me. I think he is slightly mental, to make the movies he does!!!!!

I'm guessing you didn't watch any of the "Hostel" films? It was no suprise that Radiomaster didn't include them in the poll, as they were very OTT, and extremely gory.

for the record, I just included movies directed by QT. Otherwise it'd be hard keaping track what qualifies as Tarantino movie and what doesnt...

No definitely not, I heard about them and that was enough for me. Nor have I seen any of the Saw movies, despite the fact they were made by Aussies!!!!!

I think much of his work is vastly overated. I think the 'difference between Superman / Batman' speech at the end of Kill Bill 2 pretty much sums up a lot of his films. A few cleverly shot action scenes fleshed out with mountains and mountains of meandering dialogue.

I did have a lot of fun with the Kill Bill movies. I was working with a guy called Bill at the time who was a bit of a dickhead, so I used to stir him about it a lot. I remember when I first heard of the movies title, I laughed my head off.

For the most part his films are complete garbage, but I did enjoy Inglorious Basterds, especially when ~~~~~~ got minced by an MP-40.

IMO you either love or hate his films. I absolutely love Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill etc and was looking forward to seeing Inglorius Basterds, but I thought it was crap.

As for Dusk til Dawn (not normally listed as a Tarantino as although he wrote it he wasn't the Director) you should hate it but you don't - the first part of the film is so slow then all hell breaks loose.........

Pulp fiction for me as well, always thought Jackie Brown was overrated (as great as Pam Grier was in it)
