Has anyone seen this? Does anyone know if it's available anywhere?

It's hidden away in a vault somewhere. It's on a par with rocking horse shit.

I've never even heard of anyone claiming to have seen it or know where it is.

I never even knew of its existence until this morning when I saw the interview above. Sounds like an early, more filmic attempt at a In Search of Paradise type road movie.

Thanks - I checked the imdb entry this morning - shame there's no clips floating around!

Technically there is. The music videos for the Dead Ringer songs are all supposedly from the film.

Its a shame. If More Than You Deserve is anything to go by, it could have been an interesting project.

That's what I thought! There's some real nice acting in that vid by Meat, REAL nice. Shame the full thing isn't out there. Quick - head down to London and harrass Meat for a copy!

I don't think the decision was anything to do with Meat.

I'm sure I read somewhere that he lost a load of his stuff at one point. I might be wrong though. To be honest I'd rather you harassed him for a soundboard from the Lost Boys & Golden Girls tour as opposed to this.

Ha, I really want to see this film now! If it's anything like the MOre Than You Deserve video I'm going to love it. Meat's performance in that video was classic!

Supposedly they filmed Peel Out, IKYIYDCB, and Everything is Permitted.

Yes, one person.

The original version of Dead Ringer was shown at the Toronto Film Festival. It was then edited by Sonenberg and Dellentash. One screening, which has been seen by someone here .. Meat .. who said he walked out after 35 minutes. I think he said it was later seized during the bankruptcy proceedings, and hasn't surfaced again?

He obviously hated what it became after the editing, and I'd doubt he has a copy, would want one.. or would want it released if he had.

There's a piece about the movie being seized in 'To Hell And Back' (the book, not the piece of shit tv film). From the sounds of it even Meat doesn't have a copy.

Totally WarioLoaf. The Lost Boys and Golden Girls TOUR was one of Meat's very best. Even if Meat would release a one-camera bootleg of this TOUR it would do him good publicity and please his fans. Hope that Meat is reading this, and will consider releasing some of this stuff, on dvd, or on his website. Would be very cool.
