Default Anyone listening to the chart program?

Hi, friends! I can't tell you how much I've missed being with all of you these past several days!

Can't stay too long, as the family will be calling soon, but I just had to come and listen to some of the charts today with you. Not that there's going to be much news there. Meat as already told us that he's still #2 in the albums, even after that incredible stunt on the bus! And before that, he said that the single can't get much higher than 31--at least, the current release of the single.

But still, it'll be good to talk with y'all again, if you happen to be online at the time. Please stop by and say 'hi'!! Love to hear from you!!

Hey, it just occurred to me--there IS one thing we don't know. Where CHSIB will figure into the Rock Chart this week. Yeah, I know it's not that important a number, but it's important to celebrate all the good things in one's life, isn't it? Big AND small!

Come on by, if you're around!!

Love to all,
MB

Hi, Cloggy! Good to see you! How've you been?

Yeah, you know I was just checking on that, myself! He seems to be #2 on the Rock Chart this week.

So, you think he dropped from the #2 he anticipated being to #4 or are there two different charts working here? I still new to this and learning how this all works.

The #2 spot was a "mid-week chart". So basically that was how the charts would have been on that day (Wednesday). (This is about the album)

The rock chart is something else and isn't that important, but still nice to be in there high. (This is about the single)

The single chart isn't updated yet, I think that is done live along with the show. Last week the single was #31.

You can listen live from the bbc.co.uk/radio1 site. They will fist go through the album chart and they will come to Meat's album in a few minutes. Then the single chart show is done.

Hope this helped.

Anybody around who knows how Meat did in Holland this past week? In his message, he was hoping to move CHSIB up--especially after the concert in Amsterdam.

I would like to add that coming in as #4 in the UK album charts is pretty impressive.

Meat has to battle with Madonna and Justin Timberlake here and in the UK, that ain't an easy job I'd say. Especially not these days with all that pop bollocks.

So good result this I think :)

Hi, Cloggy. Sorry, posted before I saw yours.

Thanks for clearing that up. You were right. They just announced the album at #4. So, not quite as high as everyone hoped, but still..look at the people he and this album beat out!!! Pretty amazing, isn't it?!!

Thanks, Cloggy! Does every country, I wonder, separate their charts in the same way as the UK?? Just curious....

The album is #40 in the Dutch album charts. I reckon it will rise.

Last week he was #64 with the album. This Saturday he was #40. It was pretty short notice after the concert, so the the chart that should really do it will come next week I think (hope)

Thanks, Cloggy. Do you have the chance to listen to the radio much? Have you heard CHSIB playing much there? What do you think?

Any word on how the single is doing there??

Hi, Trulli! Welcome!!

Are you talking the chart in Holland last week? Maybe Cloggy can help us both out, if you are.

I only listen to the morning shows when I go to work. That's about a 1,5 hour drive and the same for the afternoon shows when driving back. Haven't heard it so far.

There is one program who plays CHSIB everyday. That's presented by Gerard Ekdom, the same person who was on stage with Meat in Amsterdam.

I think CHSIB will do good in the UK, it will as well in Holland. Let's just wait and see.

The UK chart is updated live, as u can see here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/chart/top40/index.shtml

So we'll have to see if the single moved up from 31 or down or out of the entire chart even......

Your description didn't give a location. Sorry. Last week, was 31, though. And #1 on the Rock Chart.

Cloggy, Meat did say that because there weren't enough singles produced, that it's not like to move beyond 31 this week!

Hopefully, the new release and remix will take it even higher!!! And I'm sure it will--with the album sales continuing to help it.

Here's hoping!!

Trulli, if you're still there, same question as I asked Cloggy. Are you hearing CHSIB being played on your radio stations much? Don't know, with your work schedule, if you have much of a chance to listen....

If that's so, then the single is out of the charts.

Default single being played

No i'm not hearing it played no one at work has heard it so was hoping to blast it out but like I say can't pick up radio one and I just can't believe its not in this other chart. The only place I was hearing the single was on The box (music tv channel) last week it was the number 3 most requested video this week its not even on the playlist!

Trulli! I had no idea about The Box! I've had to be away from things for the past several days!! That's bad! It means that no one is calling in and requesting it! What a shame. That's a great way of telling people it's out there!!

Anyone reading this who can call The Box Hotline and request the CHSIB video, should try to keep that going, if they can. Keep it going until the single is remixed and rereleased!! It's important, friends!

Hey, Cloggy, you might just be right. They are well beyond 31 now, aren't they?!!

Ohhhh, makes me sad. It's such a great song. But we can't give up hope because we know that the rerelease will do better. The record company is sure to produce more singles than this first time. They just didn't think they would sell. Now, they know they WILL!!

So, we should all take hope in that! Meat's a fighter!!! And he believes in this album (and single) with all his heart!! And he's got a lot of dedicated fans out here who are also fighters!! So, better days ahead...

In the meantime, let's enjoy the #4 on the album charts this week, if the single is not meant to be right now!!

I am wondering tho, why would anyone who allready bought the single, buy it again when it's re-released? Is there something special added?

Meat talked about remixing it--so it will be a new release, as well as a rerelease. He wasn't specific about the changes that would be made. Guess we'll all have to wait and see.

Fans will buy it, no matter what--to help out, to have all the various releases made...it's getting the rest of the public to hear it and want it that will matter, next time around.

But my guess is, Cloggy, there will be some differences in the upcoming release...
