Unfortunately, the edited interview only focused on the AFL and some key statements. We all say things in the heat of the moment that we later regret and this was one of those moments for me. Yes, there were technical difficulties at the Grand Final pre-game performance which were extremely inopportune, and I didn't come off in the best light, however, the ill-response was extreme. I am a passionate person who leaves everything on stage, and my many fans world-wide know this for fact, but it was this same passion that brought me to lash out when I shouldn't have during the interview. Last, I also want to apologize to my fans. Their unrelenting support in Australia has been strong and hasn't gone unrecognized. "
Sincerely,
Meat Loaf.
It's very good but it's sad that you feel the need to apologise for an interview that was taken out of context. It's very good and I hope they print it, because although your comments were not directed at all of the people at the AFL, that's the way the bullies and the press have played it. I can't think of anything more you could say, I actually think you've been quite restrained there, so well done.
