Upcoming Releases!

Well I was surfin' round Amazon and came across these 3 CD's that will be released during 2008.

Some you may already know of, but its interesting though....

In Search Of Paradise ~ Eleven Seven ~ Out: 18 March 2008

3 Bats Live ~ Universal ~ Out: 10 March 2008

Bat Out Of Hell Vinyl ~ Sony BMG ~ Out: 3 March 2008

Dead Ringer ~ Sony BMG ~ Out: 1 March 2008

Collections ~ Camden ~ Out: 25 Feb 2008

There are some there that have tracklistings and artwork on and some that don't.

I'm wondering is, Is the Search In Paradise going to contain completly different tracks than the 3 Bats is meant to have??? As they are both related to each other...

.... but In Search Of Paradise is a documentary and it seems very unlikely that a just audio version would be released. Seeing that it's being released by Eleven Seven (the indie label Marion Raven is signed to) I'd imagine it has nothing to do with the documentary or 3 Bats at all. My guess it's another compilation which we know we can expect during the 30th year of the Bat.

I didn't think of it that way...

RadioMaster 07 Feb 2008 18:00

djfierce 07 Feb 2008 19:57

cant say i can get excited about any of those, just another way of getting money from those who think they are bigger fans than everyone else

allrevvedup 07 Feb 2008 20:10

RadioMaster 07 Feb 2008 22:25

oh right

only thing i might consider buying is the 3 bats cd, depends on the tracklisting

djfierce 07 Feb 2008 22:28

lol maybe its a british thing then Rj, guess the famous old saying just clicked over here lol

RadioMaster 07 Feb 2008 22:32

ive personally never heard of it lol

meatloaf-unofficial 08 Feb 2008 13:25

It is a brittish saying....
As they say you learn something new everyday!

djfierce 08 Feb 2008 17:13

i think the 'good thinking batman' phrase was only used in the tv show, so maybe it is only us brits that picked up on it if it wasnt in the films, not sure though, never been a fan of batman

mszee 08 Feb 2008 17:19

Definitely not known in America...

RadioMaster 08 Feb 2008 17:43

and there was me thinking Ross knew something about Diane we didnt :bleh:

the Good thinking Batman expression isn't actually from the Batman show - it's an army expression, from the days when senior officers had a valet, or 'batman' to tend to them.

and, to drag this back on topic, wonder if this reissue of Dead Ringer will be remastered or not, because I'm sick of waiting for a CD issue of this that actually sounds good.

RadioMaster 08 Feb 2008 21:21

i dont think theyll ever do that, as 99,99% of the people who will/would buy it dont notice or dont care

samurai7 08 Feb 2008 21:28

one can but dream, eh?

my vinyl version is very well played indeed. I think the CD version hasn't been played for about 5 years, save to transfer the mp3s to my PC, and wherever possible, I've taken DR tracks from other compilations because they sound so much better.

RadioMaster 08 Feb 2008 21:38

so youre saying there are actually better mixes officially released on cds out there?

im curious about the original mixes, a DR vinyl isnt that expensive but I dont have a record player at the moment

Nowadays, it seems that remastering is an euphemism for "making sure it's way too loud", e.g. the collectors edition Bat II and special edition Pandora's Box. I didn't think that was much of an improvement.

didnt know pan box was remastered
