Favourite quote from Monty Python

Was just thinking and this quote popped into my head for no reason but it made me laugh
'He's not the messiah, he's a very naughty boy!'

Anyone else have a favourite Python quote?:??:

This parrot has expired...this parrot is no more...

Ageing Bat 02 Feb 2007 09:04

That parrot is definitely deceased, and when I purchased it not 'alf an hour ago, you assured me that its total lack of movement was due to it bein' tired and shagged out following a prolonged squawk.

The Flying Mouse 02 Feb 2007 13:05

 You've already put the best Python quote ever Mick 8)

Spam! I Hate Spam!!!!! - Monthy Python

Bring Out Your Dead. Hey I'm not Dead! - Holy Grail

Feleena 02 Feb 2007 20:48

Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries - Holy Grail

Go away or I shall taunt you further times! - Holy Grail

Blackkat13 02 Feb 2007 21:28

Thanks Mick Loaf Now I want to buy the old movie now and watch it. Seen it once at the store think it was a anniverisity version, but don't know if it is worth the buy with lego version of the film? Anyone got that one on?

Still love the Black Knight and the Killer Rabbits in Holy Grail.
Black Knight - Come back here and fight. (After lossing 2 arms and 2 legs)

There's Camelot (scene dancing knights) Umm Let's not go to Camelot

geordieloaf 03 Feb 2007 13:39

The brave sir robin ballad part always makes me laugh.
''He's sneaking away and bug#ering off and chickening out and pissing off home''.

AndyK 03 Feb 2007 14:28

"What's that penguin doing on top of the TV?"
"He's sitting"

and

"Burma? Penguins don't come from Burma!"

both form the fantastic Penguin on top of the TV sketch.

Mick Loaf 03 Feb 2007 18:45

:lmao: Some of the best comedy ever!

I also like in Holy Grail when the French are speaking to each other:

Feche la vache.

Feche la vache?

Fetch the cow.

Ah, feche la vache.

Chris 03 Feb 2007 22:30

Right. I had to get up in the morning at ten o'clock at night half an hour before I went to bed, drink a cup of sulphuric acid, work twenty-nine hours a day down mill, and pay mill owner for permission to come to work, and when we got home, our Dad and our mother would kill us and dance about on our graves singing Hallelujah.

BEST. SKETCH. EVER.

Hypnobabe 03 Feb 2007 22:31

How about...

Crowd of Brian's worshippers: "We are all unique!!"

Lone voice: "I'm not..."

from the one and only Life of Brian

mszee 03 Feb 2007 22:44

You can't expect to wield supreme executive power just because some watery tart threw a sword at you. I mean, if i went round saying i was an emperor just because some moistened bint had lobbed a scimitar at me they'd put me away.

Chris 05 Feb 2007 22:14

I've got to add n this thread, that the Pythons did the best funeral services.

Here is the eulogy a\dn ending to Graham Chapman's memorial service in 1989:

That's exactly what I said to Brina Conley when he introduced himself to us all backstage during filming Let Me Entertain you. He said "Hi, I'm Brian" and I replied "I'm Brian!" and noting his look of utter surprise, added "And so's my wife!" which just made his face change from surprise to confusion. He congratulated me on being the first person ever to say that to him. But he got his own back when he interviewed me on the program and said that I was a big bloke, and looked like I've been eating pillows.

mszee 05 Feb 2007 22:51

I don't want to talk to you no more, you empty headed animal food trough wiper. I fart in your general direction. Your mother was a hamster and your father smelled of elderberries.

LMAO. How would you eat a pillow? I'd imagine you'd need mustard or something otherwise it'd be really dry.

Dry...think about how messy it would be with all those feathers flying around...but hey...mustard and feathers...gives a whole new meaning to the expression "being tarred in feathers"...

Ageing Bat 21 Feb 2007 10:02

Did anyone else feel that Mel Gibson's remake of the classic "Life of Brian" wasn't anywhere near as funny as the original?

rick 21 Feb 2007 10:19

rick 21 Feb 2007 10:25
