VH1 Clasic Rock Nights

according to facebook Meat Loaf is hosting "Classic Rock Nights" on VH1 all week this week.

It's gonna start tonight (aug 3) at 7pm (whatever time) with Meat performing a "new song" from his latest album.

http://www.vh1classicrocknights.com/...r-rock-nights/

Wario 03 Aug 2010 09:31

awesome. Hope its something other then LA.

allrevvedup 03 Aug 2010 09:32

according to Vicki on facebook that was Song of madness, it was played at least.

RadioMaster 03 Aug 2010 09:34

so it was last night then?

Vickip 03 Aug 2010 15:43

Yes, he was on from 7pm - Midnight EST.

I only caught part of it, but just as I turned it on, they played Song Of Madness :))
And I heard Meat tell a quick little story about how Axl Rose likes to listen
to 2 out of 3 Ain't Bad before doing a concert :-)

There was a problem with the Official website last night, but it's up and running now.

glamourgirl 03 Aug 2010 17:38

Did Meat and the band perform Song of Madness or was it just a recording ? Did anyone record the show?

duke knooby 03 Aug 2010 19:19

from the pics above, looks like it was just meat, and recorded back in june

though strangely his sheets have halloween and st patricks day voice overs it seems

RadioMaster 03 Aug 2010 19:38

well, he wouldnt necessarily have to sing live at the studio. They could just as well use some of the latest soundboard recordings.

yea, that would have been sweet. But it recorded in June before the tour began

allrevvedup 03 Aug 2010 21:35

i was about to say I'm sure there were some canadian fans thinking, 'he sounds fine, why did he cancel the shows?'

Wario 04 Aug 2010 02:41

Meh its just him talking about Eddie and how they spelled his name wrong on the sheet with no capital letters for his name. Then he plays hot patootie followed by an odd edited version Kiss (Different from the Studio/Storytellers versions)

Ill upload it to the tube shortly

Oh ok :-) Maybe that was the version of Kiss from Storytellers :??:
I just tuned in a few minutes ago .. Meat was saying that he was filling in for Eddie but didn't want to say what he was probably doing right now

Vickip 04 Aug 2010 03:12

Enjoy. I was in such I hurry I forgot to edit out the commercial at the end...

YouTube Video

Vickip 04 Aug 2010 03:59

suzieq 04 Aug 2010 05:06

Living On The Outside on right now!

suzieq 04 Aug 2010 05:13

And now BOOH!!! God I wish they would play this on regular radio. What a charge to hear his music on radio.

stretch37 04 Aug 2010 05:13

I like his intro to BOOH :)

stretch37 04 Aug 2010 05:14

is it me or was his booh cd skipping? :P

I know what you mean :)) I love it ... especially with him talking too

stretch37 04 Aug 2010 05:27

Yeah the talking parts are HOT. Meat would make an amazing DJ ;)

suzieq 04 Aug 2010 05:32

When Meat does his radio interviews I think the same thing Stretch. I've always said, I could listen to his stories for hours. He has a nice radio voice. I can picture Meat smiling (and at times wryly) as he's reading these lines.

It sounds like the one from the TMF studio thingy in 1999 although I'm half asleep and I wasn't really paying attention. I've definitely heard it before though, so Wario's excitement is unwarranted.

clpmss 04 Aug 2010 12:28

I have called the radio station asking for HCTB be played and they said that they don't have the cd. I told them that I would send them one of my copies and they said that they could take one of mine they need to get it from somewhere else. they didn't tell me from where thou. think it's a shame. HCTB is an awesome cd that should be played. I love listening to BOOH but would love even more of the new instead of the same songs all the time.

That's a shame Chris :( I agree about HCTB ... but at least we got to hear
Song Of Madness and Living On The Outside. According to the website, this
program is broadcast on several stations nationwide ... so it's really great publicity for Meat.

I don't know if it's been up to Meat or someone else to choose the songs, but
I've really enjoyed the songlist so far :-)

Hmmm.....maybe just send in the copy certified for delivery coming from an anonymous source. OR does it have to be a promo version from road runner? So many questions.
