I found a couple of online Canadian newspapers with interviews with Meat this week:

ML seems a bit down in this one, he says he "wishes the tour were already over" and talks about what a rough summer he had.

This one has a quote that I love- it's ML describing his performance method: ""I'm like a storm trooper," he says of his performance mentality. "That's how I approach a show. For 2 1/2 hours, the audience is in my world. Most people make it look easy. I make it look like I'm going to die."
That is so true- I remember the first time I saw him (a few years before Bat 2) I was actually fearful that he was going to have a heart attack the way he was tearing around the stage.

Check out the articles, they are both pretty interesting.

Thanks for the links Sherrie.
Both articles were really interesting.
You're right ... he did sound a little down in the first one ....
he's really been through a lot this year.

There's an article on CHSIB and Meat Loaf in the 'Toronto Metro' I'm going to type it out, if I can't find a link, after work.
Cheers!

Hi Leah!

Here's a link that allows you download the current issue of the Toronto Metro :

http://www.metropoint.com/

The only problem is that once you've downloaded it, you need Adobe Acrobat to read it.
Are you talking about the article entitled "Meat Loaf enjoys spice of performing" ?

I found it with one of the pictures that I adore (him with the long coat and hat) on page 19. Or was there another article that I missed?

Thanks !!
Vicki

thank you so much for the links, yes i agree to he did
sound very fed up in the first one , but who could blame him
after the year he has had.
but in the least he sounded more upbeat in the other.

Exactly .. he's been through an awful lot this year. But I'm sure things are turning around for him now :)

Hmmm.....something tells me that the author of the Toronto article never actually saw Fight Club, as he describes Bob Paulsen as "the huggable dude". Sure, he was a blindly dedicated but nice guy, but "huggable dude" isn't a description I'd choose, by any stretch. It makes him sound like a Care Bear, rather than the tremendously intricate character that he played.

I know what you mean about the character description, Sherrie, I can only assume that either the author didn't see it(fight club), or felt he needed to skim over the role for sake of brevity. It was an odd discription of Bob, wasn't it?
