Default Official Meat Loaf Site

I know a few have joined the new Meat Loaf site. I was just wondering how long it took for you to receive your membership packs?

My cheque was cashed early September, despite an e mail, haven't had any response and therefore can't access the site.

Has anyone else had to wait a while?

Much appreciated.
Love

O.k. ... patience is one thing, promise an other !

They promised something for a lot of money, and now they don't even answer questions.

Hope the package will see the light of day this year ... .

Bye from Kai

You don't actually get sod all for joining except 'emotional support' and it's money well spent apparently

I don't know who this Morgan bloke is but he must have a tidy sum of cash to be able to go on a few jolly holidays.

You're not the first person to say that I'm afraid. The ironic thing is, is that there's a bunch 'True' fans who claim his official site is a safe haven and place for him to post, yet he never does. Mind you if I had some of his fans following me around like they do him I wouldn't post either, in fact I'd be seeking a lawyer and getting an injunction placed against them

Guys,
whatever your problem is with the official site / fanclub, the best place to voice your complaints is at their forums.
While I appreciate your comments, wether good or bad, I cannot tolerate derogative ones.
So, pretty please, do not complain here - otherwise this thread will be locked or deleted.

I sent an email to the site last month and got a reply. I asked when the packs are to be sent. I was told they are being sorted and should receive it soon.

Well I haven't joined. Gun shy I guess you could say. I purchased a product off the official site over a year ago and have recieved nothing. Now the forum is locked unless I spend more money to become a member just to complain. How is that right?? I love Meat Loaf and really would like to be a member to attend the meet and greets etc. but I'm frustrated to no end and out $80. Does anyone know anything about knock out talent? Why won't 10th street answer my e-mails?

Default The Official Fan Club

Hi guys, merry xmas to u all.
I was just wondering what everyone thinks of the new website. More particular what do you think is going on. Now i know there never was much movement in terms of adding videos or news etc..but at the moment the whole thing has come to a stand still, with them not accepting new members. Forgive me if there is a real reason that everybody else knows about (im usually the last), but im beginning to think we were all had. It ain't a money thing cause I would have happily paid double if we got what we were promised. Any opinions

Happy New Year All

I never joined the website to be honest mainly due to bad passed experiences:

I joined "the official fanclub" back in 1993 and I never received anything that was promised. They kept sending letters saying that the first issue of the magazine was going to be sent out, which never happened. I remember spending about 25 quid for a the membership but never was refunded (I did however get a small welcome pack, but that was probably only worth a fiver if I think about it).

I am glad to see this mlukfc.com does deliver its promises and I hope the new website does as well. The fact that they are not taking on new members does not sound too promising though.

I still do not think it is right to ask for money to enter certain parts of a fan website. I think Bruce Springsteen's official site is pretty good and it's free.

I never joined the 'official' fanclub because at the time it couldn't offer me anything I didn't already have. I never part with money unless I know exactly what I'm getting or do things on a whim. Seems my forsight was correct.

I know a group of 'paying' members to the site created a secret list to discuss how to demand a refund from Turnstyle but I haven't heard if they were successful or not.

I think this is a good lesson for everyone and not to go into something blindly just because it has Meats name attached to it. Make sure you know what you're getting and promises are kept.

Hi Ricky-

My most sincere apologies for not responding sooner. As you know, we have had our fair share of problems with the Meat Loaf Fanclub. We are working with Meat Loaf and his management to get these issues resolved. We will have an answer for you on the status of the package, the site and the Fanclub in general in the next 14 days.

Thank you for your patience.

Best,

Todd @ M80 (formerly Turnstyle)

That's great news that they're finally sorting things out and as far as I'm aware you're the only person who's actually contacted them with genuine concerns. So well done to you.

Maybe if things do get sorted to how they should be, I might consider becoming a paid up member.
