Default Footy Show At 11;45 pm (awake for 20 hours)

Footy Show , anyone see it I don't know what happened, was so jetlagged and tried had been awake for 20 hours when did can't even remember it!!
I think it was just ok ,I hope , hard to sing patti was tired to but she is 16 years younger than me. If it was on pitch it was ok if it was flat , I'll cry.
If someone saw it tell the truth I won't cry long, big day of press coming .
talk later.

Dear Meat,
Hi my name is adam moore and I was the competion winner that got to meet you with my wife vanessa before the show and wanted to say thankyou for your time wouldve liked more time to ask you questions but hey I got to meet you ( a lifetime dream). Yes the performance was great you gave it your all and it was awesome. Patti and kasim and the team were also great you looked tired but pulled it off . People were even singing couldnt of said it better in the car park . And we loved when you judged the competion and took over the show and espically when you gave fatty some slack about manly and when they got the name of the song wrong and you corrected them. Thankyou once again we taped the show and we watched it when we got home and it was just as good as been live. Thankyou I ll be watching all performances whilst in australia . And report back.

Keep rockin
Adam
ps cant wait for you concert

Thanks Fire Ball,
so cool you post here to keep us informed. That's a long trip after a grueling end to the US leg of the tour. Please get some rest.

And thanks Adam, what a thrill for you and the wife. Any chance you could copy that and share it w/ some of us here? Shoot me a pm if there is any possibility of that.

Regards,
T

I'm glad I'm not the only one who hasn't heard of this. Sounds like a football programme to me.

Hopefully someone will enlighten us.

Is THIS the Footy show in question (there's two websites/shows but neither mention Meat, so im not sure!)??

http://footyshow.ninemsn.com.au/nrl/default.asp
http://footyshow.ninemsn.com.au/afl/default.asp

I havent checked any of the videos in the archives, etc just basically looked for mention of Meat and the band, but nothing, so im probably wrong, but figured it didnt hurt to ask! Take care!

"The Footy Show" is a sports TV programme focussed on the Australian Rugby League, doing skits, sports commentary and competitions weekly during the NRL season. It has a huge following in Australia, and has just started playing here in NZ in the last year.

The show that Meat Loaf featured on was the "Grand Final Show", the big wrap up of the year.

Meat was way out fun during the judging of the talent contest, giving the hosts and talent a lot of stick.

Now, I don't want to seem like a heathen - please remember that I love Meat. I know he was jet lagged, has been ill this year, and is having problems with his throat. I'm really sorry, but I can't defend the performance of "CHSITB".

Default I loved the song meat

Hi Meat

This is my first post on here so if it sound abit silly just be kind ok.

Now i did see Meat on"The Footy Show" and it was great to see him in Australia again as up until then i did not know that he was here. Now I have to say i have been a fan for 25 years since Bat 1 and well, i don't think i will ever not be a fan of the great man Meat Loaf.

Now I have had the New CD for afew weeks i got a imported copy as i could not wait any longer lol and i have to say i love all of it, but by fav song would have to be "Testify". I hope Meat releases it as a single as i think it would be a hit for sure, but then again the whole CD should be a No 1 I think as it's better then some of the silly stuff that gets to No 1 now days.

Now I was also lucky to see the interview Meat did for 7's Sunrise show and the video for "Couldn't Have Said It Better". I have taped them both so I can see it over again and again lol.

Now as i said before I'm a VERY big fan of Meats (in more then one way lol) and i think he is the greatest living singer. But the song "Couldn't Have Said It Better" on "The Footy Show" well I do have to say Meat did not sound at his best, but with him being so tied would be the case for that. I mean i still loved every minute of it.

I'm looking forward to seeing Meat sing at the Grand Final on Sunday too.

Also as Meat will tour here in March next year it will be so good to see him again as I have for the last tours Meat has make to Australia and as before i will go and see him in Sydney as well as here in Newcastle as Meat has the best live shows.

I have to say I was hoping it was wrong that this will be Meat's last tour, please say it's not so, please. But if it is his last Tour, I'm sure Meat will give as all a great show, as he has every other time he has toured OZ.

Well thats about it for me. I hope Meat gets same rest and he has a chance to have some fun here in Oz.

Welcome Ian,
glad to see you here. If you have been a fan for that long you must be as ancient as my wife and I. There is a thread here somewhere on ML fans' ages, it's amazing, he appeals to all ages.

I tried to tape the Direct TV thing here today. Watched it w/ my 97 yo Grandmother. Was too weird, check out the thread on Direct TV.

Glad you Aussies are getting some Meat. But IMO he needs to take a break, working so hard to promote this. Music industry really bites nowadays. He can kick any of these weeny BS groups any day of the week, with this kick ass band he has.

All JMHO, seen some great shows lately.

Regards,
T

Well hello T

Thanks for the welcome, and well not sure if 38 is ancient, but maybe lol. yes Meat is loved by all ages, that is the sign of a great singer and Meat is that and much more.

You are right T Meat needs to take a break and rest up same. But we all know Meat is just to much a pro to let any of his fans down. I mean as much as I love that Meat is here in OZ, I just hope he does get to have same rest soon so he does not ware himself out.

Cheers
