Bat3 Mat Give-away!

Right, as I told you in the Ebay thread in the off topic, I couldn't resist myself when I came across 700 Beer Mats promoting Bat3 all for 1p plus £10p+p.... I've now been told they've been shipped

I kinda thought to myself, why did I buy them? What am I gonna use them for? The answer is I'm not quite sure why I got them - prob mainly for collector's item and that because they were a bargin....

It got me thinking, some of you on here don't have them, from what I worked out as replied to my post so I thought I'd give away 50 FREE!

So its the first come served, but there are a few rules I'll have to lay down to make it fair for everyone:

The Maximum per person is 5
If you already have some, please wait....

The reason why I ask if you already have some to wait, is that I think it would be nice for those who don't have some to get some and if their are left overs, not many people wanting them, then I'll post again and those who want more than what they have already, can get them!

Is that fair????

Oh and I did think that if there are any fund raisers for the mlukfc in the future, like we did with Meat's Newcastle Event, then more will up for grabs

What...... I'm just doing my bit for the fanclub and you've been all so kind

Elaine (bathelmet) sold these for a £1 each for Cancer Research a while ago which was a lovely idea.

Maybe AndrewG could do with some for his 30th birthday party next year

Why on earth do you need 660 for your collection?

I got loads of these from the CD singing and gave all but 2 away. WTF can you possibly do with 659

I do have an idea what, I just hope i'm wrong

No big deal but I have principles. Hard to explain but; if I ask for something in person, expecting that this is just a small little favour and then I get treated like some kind of a faceless customer I am not interested. Sorry. My weird principles I guess.

Sorry but I really don't want something from someone who seems to have a problem with giving something away for free. Especially after me providing backing tracks which I put a lot of love and effort into. And I'm not the only one who has done stuff for Ross! I think this is completely ridiculous.

Creating an online form where I have to choose if I want 1,2,3,4 or 5 beer mats after the deal first being for 5 for everybody? Is that so that you can catch people out and perhaps keep some more of the precious 700 beer mats?! Show off your HTML skills somewhere else please! Using the excuse that your PM box will get full if you request addresses from everyone, while an individual ALREADY sent her address to you??!!!

wait, please hang on. I think I'll explain more. Please hear me out

You all said that giving away 50 free was good right? And I did say that I'll save the rest until we have like a fundraiser, you know like we did for Meats soccer event, where some merch was being given away - I will help as much as I can.... please don't be offended.

So hence, the reason why I only did this "form" was to collect the addresses, so then I know where to send them too. The form results are easier imo as they are in one place in my inbox saving searching through pm's - I hope you kinda understand??

its free and I know people have offered to pay postage, but I don't want you too - I said its free so its my gift to you.

Andrew, you also mentioned about the tab; 12345 - the reason why I did that was becuase someone only said they wanted 2, becuase they thought they didn't want 5, so I added that into the form. Once the mats have been sent out, all the emails will be deleted....

My view is, if you want 5, you can have 5 no problems, if you want less than 5, thats ok aswell....

I hope I've explained it more.... sorry if I confused some of you...It was only meant to be a nice gesture as a way of saying thanks for being great people....

It's alrite Ross, I'm sure somebody else wants them. It just made me really mad, this unpersonal approach. In my opinion if it's like that I may as well buy them off Ebay myself.

I spoke to someone else about this and said individual felt exactly the same way.

Thanks.... Now I feel like a complete fool - guilty.....

I was only doing it to make it easier and also to make sure that I never missed anyone out - thats the last thing I wanna do!

If you want them or anyone, you can have them, I offered in the first place right? and I still stick to my promise

(even if these other 585 don't arrive to me - I got 115 yesterday - the seller decided to send them out in 2 packages)

The last thing I wanna do is upset people on here, its a great site and great community
