One disappointing takeaway from it was Paul saying there is no new music at all, there was a curious pause for thought before he answered, but taken on face value that means the planned recording sessions for early January didn't take place I assume due to Meat's ill health.
He did however say there are Bat demos and live soundboard recordings he has worked on however he wasn't sure if they'd ever see the light of day. |

Watched this in a couple of goes.
It got quite emotional with Karla and Paul's favourite moments towards the end as they were still speaking to Meat a lot recently. Thanks for sharing Duke. |

This chat very much manifested my expectations. Obviously, Todd never really was on the best terms with Meat. He even forgot that he had worked, if not with Meat, at least for him on both CHSIB and also Bat II. Nice to see that Kasim and Paul still talk to each other.

But Todd seems very sort of matter-of-fact about everything and doesn't seem to think what they were creating was REALLY exciting and means a lot to millions of people. The Springsteen influences I see and the tongue in cheek lyrics also but let's be honest the drama on Bat in sound and in words was always far more heart wrenching and grandiose than the very sort of working man attitude in Springsteen's stuff. |
