Default Need a hero?

I was being interviewed on air today by Jon Jessop, and before the show he told me a little story some folks here might like.

Back in 1987, Jon was pushing a guy in a wheelchair from Lands End to John O Groats for charity.
In one town, he was stopped by a local policeman who told him he would not be allowed to go down the planned route because it was market day and it would cause a disruption (WTF???? ). He told Jon if he went down the road he would be arrested.
Jon was on a pretty tight schedule, so he went ahead and stayed on course, and was promptly nicked.

Luckily, Ian Anderson (from Jethro Tull) was living near by, and soon turned up to bail Jon out.
Ian brought a friend with him to get Jon out of jail.
Mr Jim Steinman

It's one way to meet him I suppose
