I agree no one should cover this song, if anyone did it would not sound right to me. I think Meat sings it perfectly, it is such a beautiful loving song. I like to sing along with this turned up full blast so I cant hear my bad singing.

I give this song 9/10

Meat's voice is like hearing an angel sing in "Heaven Can Wait".

I give it a 10/10

"Heaven..." is not the song I like the less on the album, nevertheless, I don't know why I rarely listen to it... or maybe I know... and I don't want to admit it!!
Don't like to listen to it live - it sounds like Meat's final farewell!!!

8/10 sorry...

That a song like Heaven Can Wait can sit on an album alongisde the powerful Bat and fast-paced Paradise shows what a superb album it really is. Steinman's masterpiece hails back to the days of creativity - doing what you really believe in rather than what 'fashion' dictates. Nobody takes risks anymore - who would dare today to begin an album with a fantasy-like crash song, and yet also have an emotinal epic like 2outta3 and 'Heaven' sat in the middle? Meat and Jim produced something that will never be surpassed, and I just can't wait to see the man in action on Monday. And that comes from someone who wasn't even born when Bat was released! (I'm 21)

Ahem!! You obviously don't know anything about me, or my album "Nature's Siegfried" !!! DOn't worry - there is inspiration left, and it's not just Steinman and Meat Loaf. I will bring it back for you

Just great, so sad.
Meat said once that itīs meant to be an old man who looks back to the opportunities he had in his life but didnt use.

This is my second favorite, but so close to FCOL that I have to give it a 10/10 as well.

Love it, but you know what? My favorite version is that from MSO. So...

Album: 11/10
Live with MSO: 14/10

I absolutely love this song.
I haven't heard the MSO version since it isn't on the double DVD, but the version he did at Pavarotti and friends is incredilbe!

The MSO version has got to be my favourite version of this song. But, it was the original version that dragged me back from the edge when I was hovering near death from septicaemia once about two years back. I was in and out of consciousness and hearing it playing in my head each time I returned to the ward. Amazing how that sort of thing can happen.

I really don't like this song. I can understand why others do like it, but it does nothing for me.

Absolutely sublime. Possibly one of the best vocals I've ever heard from Meat. And the whole thing gives me goosebumps. 10
