Universal Music Launches 'King of Kindie' in the UK with Matmi New Media Design Ltd

The primarily online campaign features the ex-Meat Loaf guitarist in a UK website and advergame created by viral specialists, Matmi New Media. Dubbed the “King Of Kindie” (credible childrens’ music), Mr. Ray also features in competitions and features on parenting/childrens’ activity websites, and promotions with childrens’ activity franchises including Gymboree, the nation’s biggest child development programme in the UK.

His live show was especially good according to Anji, I couldn't make the last time he was here but have every intention of making his next show as he was fantastic with the kids.

I have to be honest though I can't get excited at a web site aimed at 2-6 yr olds, I'm probably in the minority and just being an old fart but a 3yr old on a computer just doesn't seem right to me and I have no intention of fishing soggy biscuits out of the cdrom drive.

I'm really not a fan of kids on computers, it's getting to be the way of the world that kids can use websites and send emails but don't have a clue how to get information from a book, which surely can't be a good thing

The best of luck to Ray though, his shows sound great and anything that brings families together can't be a bad thing

Ray is amazing and has a huge deal here in the UK so I'm sure we'll see more and more of him

M you weren't the only one that had to miss Ray's last show

So we all relived it through Casey and Anji

On kids on comps.... Jake and Chloe are both into the computer and can do far more than most adults on it. And they also read books more than most kids I know, so it doesn't have to be one or the other

I think that's absolutely right Deb. we live in an age now where computers are everywhere and kids need to know how to use them but books are just as important
