And I have still missed it !!

I am destined not to see Kim Caterall out of Sex And The City, must pay more attention to TV programming !!

Not a movie but I watched The Tudors and a review on the news for Keira's new film The Duchess, can't wait it looks great .

Vacancy (2007). Bog standard horror flick. Quite effective if you watch it once, in the cinema I think. Not so effective watching it again. lol.

I bought it ages ago but have only just got around to watching it The Jacket with Keira Knightley and Adrien Brody. It's a very good film and Keira is fantastic in it, only I found it a little confusing at first.

Jack Starks (Brody) is a Gulf War Veteran who was suffering from a gun shot wound in the head and returns to his native Vermount suffering with amnesia. He helps a mother and daughter with their truck that had broken down then continues on his way, he waves down a truck and the guy offers him a lift only her's told to pull over for a policeman and is asked to step out of the car, unknown to Starks the guy has a gun and shoots the policeman dead, in the process Jack collapses and he is then framed with the killing. He's falsely accused as guilty and is commited to a mental institusion where he's treated appaulingly by his physician, Dr. Becker, he puts him on a controversial treatment regiemen in which Jack is injected with experimental drugs, confined in a straight-jacket, and locked for extended periods in the body draw of the basement morgue.
In his drugged and disoriented state, Starks mind propels him into the future, where he meets Jackie (Knightley), and discovers that he is destined to die in four days. Together, they search for a way to save him from his fate.

Thought Vacancy was pretty lame...

In any event...thanks, Emma for describing that movie...if I never see Adrian Brody again...that would be a great plus...

1408.

Damn I thought bits of that were well scary. Lol. Great Stephen King story/movie in my opinion. A tad strange at times, but well worth the watch.

I prefer the story to the film, think most Stephen King films don't live up to the original story - my opinion anyway. I love the casting and the scene between the two characters discussing the room and the first bits of spooking is great but I personally think some of the spookiness is lost once the bigger budget effects kick in. Still like it very much though, glad am not alone in it

Just got back from seeing "Hellboy II" at the cinema - good film, weak ending.

Yeah think the scene with Samuel L Jackson and John Cusack is brilliant too.

Yeah, considering that scene is half of the story it must have been difficult to get the right balance but I think it's impressive.

Aww man, 1408!!!!!

We rented the DVD and watched it at home, scared the living hell out of me! Very well made film! Would certainlybe interested to read the book, I've just started reading The Shining having seen the film, I think I'm expecting the book to be slower and more in depth, but better than the film...we shall see!

Andy and I have quite a few Stephen King books between us but we've barely touched them, I think you need a lot of spare time to sit and really engross yourself in a Stephen King to really enjoy it
