Default 102. If I Can't Have You

This is the START OUT OF HELL & ARRIVE TO HEAVEN topic.
Let's Go to Rock 'n' Roll!!!!!!!

If I Can't Have You (6)

This song is not special to me. It sounds like a CHSIB average song with a good female vocal. Hugh Laurie would be a great marketing idea but this song is not enough to film a video. It would be better in a concert DVD.

My score: 6

Although it's not my favourite track ("Elvis In Vegas" is my number one) on this record but I like it quite much.

I don't think the female vocal is very good. Average at best. I agree it would be better live.

My score: 5

This is one of the most amazing Meat Loaf tracks I have heard to date! A definite top 10 to me!

7.5 - 8 (can't quite decide!) I like the tune and lyrics, and Meat sounds great, but I just think it needs to be a little bit less hard rock, a bit more campy as a duet. At the end, I hear a massive wall of guitars, where I would prefer a more defined sound following a tune. Other than that, it's great!

Reminds me a bit of "What about Love" from Bat 3. I quiet like it though, it's growing on me.

5. Just not good enough. Would have been better with Patti imo. Kara's voice is too poppy when she sings high notes. Quite surprising coming from a woman of that age imo.
As for Hugh Laurie on piano, I don't give a shit. Never seen a program with him in it and never heard him play any music before so it doesn't mean anything to me at all.

I'm neither very fond of her voice nor of her songwriting but I like that song.

They should have made better use of Hugh Laurie's talents. I would have liked to hear something like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6AvMUR_XMlg
