Default 14. Dead Ringer For Love

This is the START OUT OF HELL & ARRIVE TO HEAVEN topic. Let's Go to Rock 'n' Roll!!!!!!!

Dead Ringer For Love (7)

I think this song want to be the Paradise By The Dashboard Light of Dead Ringer. I don't like to listen it, but it's a very good dance music. The real rock 'n' roll.

In the video of Dead Ringer For Love Cher is fantastic. Sometimes she makes me believe that she is beautiful. I love her voice. I love her songs. Bang Bang is the best! Cher and Meat are very good pair.

My score: 7

Average: 8.42 (101/12)

Maybe one of the best Rock 'n' Roll intro ever. Typical Jim Intro, simple but great.

I don't know why you don't like to listen to it!

I like Everything Louder/Dead Ringer of Cardiff, great way of performances, especially the way they go from everything louder to the intro of dead ringer super.

Score: 9

White of high, why, just why, don't you like the thing Meat Loaf does?

I mean, in most of your reviews you say that you don't like this, or don't like that......but what do you like?

Don't get me wrong, but this sucks!

OK!

I like in the music the power and lot of instruments. I love for example For Crying Out Loud, A Kiss Is A Terrible Thing To Waste. I like The Power Of Love by Frankie Goes To Hollywood and some songs by Scorpions & The Berliner Philharmoniker (Hurricane 2000, Send Me An Angel, Crossfire). I like Carmina Burana and I like Beethoven, Bach and Wagner.

These songs make a picture in myself. They can be a vision. Yes, a vision!

For example Dead Ringer For Love is a very good music, but in this song I feel nothing beauty. Life Is A Lemon, Objects In The Rear View Mirror, Bat Out Of Hell, Razor's Edge, Standing On The Outside can give me a vision.
Do you understand?

Ready.Aim.Fire.
I've put that because I know i'm going to get put up on a wall and shot for saying this, but Dead Ringer For Love is not one of my favorites.
Don't get me wrong,it's not that I actualy dislike it,but compared to a lot of Meat's music it just doesn't get to me the same way.
Maybe it's because of Cher?some of her stuffs o.k. but i'm not what you would call a fan.I think Patti sings it a lot better.
Good Rock & Roll,but not Meat's best.
Sorry guys ,but.....
6/10-I can hear the rifle bolts being pulled back now.

Thank God White of Heigh, i thought that you were one of those people that doesn't like anything.

But Dead Ringer is a great song. Great duet, Cher has something. The clip is also great.

No need for any guns here ... just a big, fat and ugly cat to catch a tiny mouse.

R,if you have any intention of sending Cher round, think again. (see,I can be bitchy too :P )
By the way R it could have been worse, you could have said a tiny cat to catch a big,fat and ugly mouse .Rock on buddy.
P.S.Cher if you read this (yeah right)i'm only joking.

Dead Ringer is a great live act! And we all know that. In 1989 i was at a concert in my hometown (Alkmaar). They did a great act with this song.
i gvie it a 8/10

Yet another disapointment that Cher did little to save. But wait, I've now
heard this song live this summer and it was truly fun.
So for the Dead Ringer version I can only give a 4/10.
For the potential I heard live recently 9/10.

I love this song a lot! Full of energy, and it is quite exciting to hear Cher sing with Meat.

Although, I don't think it was supposed to be, "Dead Ringer For Love" will never be "Paradise By The Dashboard Light." This is the first song I heard off the album and the music and words are great. So is Cher, but she is always great, what a duet. But nothing compared to Meat and Patti if you ask me. Just heard it again, had to play it, I change my mind.

Got to say the original is the best always has been, always will be, no live performance will beat it. Although Patti is great, Meat and Cher did a terrific job on this song and the video. 10/10

I

LURVE

This song - fantastic rock'n'roll, and the lyrics are superb and well sung. Also like the video, but I only ever seem to catch the last half on tv etc - don't know why, I just don't seem to be able to manage any more!!!

Anyway,

I reckon, an easy 10/10!

I came to this one first and though I can't choose a favourite MeatLoaf song, this one would have close competition I think this song is fantastic, and so much better when watched with its video. This was one of the first Meatloaf songs i was introduced too, and like all the rest will never grow old.

9/10

The tune was recycled from the television theme that Jim wrote for DELTA HOUSE. I like DELTA HOUSE better. DEAD RINGER FOR LOVE is not one of my favourites, but it goes well in contrast to READ'EMANDWEEP
