Default It's been 10 years since.....

.... Meat Loaf performed on the forgotten ITV Show "Popstar To Operastar" and sang Bat Out Of Hell as a duet. He was also a judge on the series for season 1.

I really enjoyed this performance. Something different but Meat still sounding pretty good.

Probably one of the last live Meat Loaf performances on UK TV. I also can't remember Bat ever being performed as a duet any other time.

(Is it no longer possible to embed YouTube videos btw? The tag with the video code between them doesn't seem to do anything. )

I listen to that one fairly often. I love the slower version in a different key. A little Springsteen-ish on "I gotta get out..." section. I wonder had Meat made little changes like this to some songs if it wouldn't be less vocally taxing without the change being jarring. I also like the "Took the Words" version done at the Hard Rock back in 98-99 done just a bit different.

Maybe this next album we'll get to have some of that!
