Default Kasim Sulton to play TR gigs in Europe!

Kasim Sulton will be playing some gigs in Europe as part of the Todd Rundgren Liars Tour in July! The dates already announced (and on sale) are:

Saturday 10th July - Bospop 2004, Weert, Holland
Wednesday 14th July - Symphony Hall, Birmingham, England
Thursday 15th July - Royal Festival Hall, London, England
Sunday 18th July - Bridgewater Hall, Manchester, England

There is also expected to be a gig in Glasgow that will be announced within the next week, plus more dates in mainland Europe.

If you don't know who Todd Rundgren is (shame on you!) his Meat Loaf connection is that he produced Bat Out Of Hell, arranged the background vocals on Bat Out Of Hell II plus played the famous motorcycle guitar part on BOOH!

This tour is also using some of the latest sound and light (LED lights) technology and is described as a "techo savvy tour"! Plus this could be your only chance to see Kasim dressed up in this sort of garb: http://www.kasimsulton.com/gamma/gal...&page_number=6 (If you don't spot him, Kasim is on the far right!)

Todd's latest album called Liars was released on Sanctuary Records last week.

http://www.KasimInfo.com/2004TR.html has ticketing links and venue websites.

There were a load of my photos on the site but I think they got "lost" (removed!) when the site was revamped. They are mainly Kasim's own photos up there now although one of mine is currently on the front page of the site advertising Kasim's in-store appearance in Rochester, NY next week.

Seriously Heli, Choir Circle, that's what they call it. It is a hall intended for choir and orchestra hence the titles.

We are to the right hand side I believe, can't use stalls 'cos of my wheelchair which I need for long distances and people standing in front of me , so this is next level up.

First time we've been to this venue so as I haven't got the tickets yet can't confirm precisely the exact location. Hope to meet you there.

Got tickets for Birmingham, very excited! One thing though, apart from one acoustic number Kasim played at the NEC I don't think I've heard any of Todds songs?!

2 hours and 35 minutes from London by train, there's a small town, quite interesting place to do a gig though, called Paris...

Not fair...

So far they've announced the five UK gigs and one festival in Holland. There are supposed to be some more festival dates in Europe so don't give up hope yet!

Just a reminder that tickets for both Bristol and Glasgow went on sale this morning. They are both standing concerts and cost £21.10 and £22.22 respectively (that's with having my tickets posted so it's probably cheaper if you collect them from the venue).

Apparently more European dates will be announced soon!
