You have to give more details, like where this picture was taken!

Who's the young guitarist who comes out during Promised Land? He seemed some kind of special guest or so. They seemed to have a lot of guitars during that show.

Its no mystery, as Evil One says its Mark Doyle - toured in 83 also and has a solo career - google him

The young guitarist during promised land is George Borowski I think - the guitar tech http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Borowski

As in guitar George on Sultans of Swing by Dire straits. If that isn't him, he certainly has appeared on stage with Meat - that US TV performance of promised land from 81 for example

Now you mention it Mick I'm pretty sure I heard it was George Borowski in the past. He lives not far from here and still gigs reasonably often.

No, That's not the guy I meant. I think that big glasses dude with the napkin in his pocket is in the band the whole time. I think George Borowski is correct. It's the young short guy who only comes out for a little bit. I think it's on Promised Land. I'm not going to hook up my dusty old VHS to check though. I'll wait till I have the DVD, lol. I just thought I would ask. It just looked like it was a "big deal" when the guy came out, as if he was indeed a special guest.

he probably did indeed do more. Gimme Shelter was omitted from the VHS (Notice how Meat changes from white to black vests pretty quick). he probably had something to do there.

But Gimme Shelter doesnt appear to be on the upcoming DVD either.

I don't get why they feel they have to omit things. It's frustrating we are going to get yet another "part" of instead of a complete concert which is probably what everyone wants.

Totally agree with that statement.

but they most likely couldn't get the rights to Gimme Shelter

Maybe she's not a knockout but I think she had least had a fit body. They probably picked her as I do see a Karla Devito resemblance.

it is George Borowsk and he was the guitar tech, however back in 85?? or 86 he came on before meat at the apollo in manchester and maybe a couple of other venues also and played 2 to 3 of his own songs, he was/is very good, also he fronted a band with "Netty Brook" called "A Conspiracy"

She wasn't all that bad (looks wise) and sang OK. Of course nobody will ever replace Patti as the best of all-time.
