Default Meat Loaf - 7 Entries in "Essential 1000"

OK guys, my rad radio station just had an "Essential 1000" count down, Meat came in with:

893 - All Revved Up With No Place To Go
775 - Rock And Roll Dreams Come Through
637 - Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad
459 - Paradise By The Dashboard Light
173 - You Took The Words Right Out Of My Mouth
147 - I'd Do Anything For Love (But I Won't do that)
44 - Bat Out Of Hell

7 entries.... not bad at all for our man

Top 10 was:

10 - Hotel California - Eagles
9 - Money For Nothing - Dire Straits
8 - Imagine - John Lennon
7 - Khe Sanh - Cold Chisel
6 - Billie Jean - Michael Jackson
5 - Livin' On A Prayer - Bon Jovi
4 - U & Ur Hand - Pink
3 - It's A Long Way To The Top - AC/DC
2 - Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen
1 - Pride (In The Name Of Love) - U2

Pink is good, but top 10 I am not so sure about... doesn't really fit with the other 9, but still, probably the best to choose from of todays artists. I also don't think U2 should have been #1, I would have picked Queen, John Lennon or the Eagles out of that top 10 for #1

Surprised that Pink Floyd/Led Zeppelin weren't in the Top 10, would have put them well ahead of U2/Pink/AC/DC & Bon Jovi quite easily.

Yeah, unfortunately radio countdowns can leave you feeling cheated, but as to AC/DC, its an Aussie radio station, so my guess is that just gives Accadacca that extra "oomph" in the list.

BTW, Took the words was played this afternoon & Paradise was played aout an hour ago yet again.... I'm so lucky that my station plays so much Meat Loaf

That's great Mel, while it would have been great for Meat to be in the top 10 or No 1, it's just great he was on the list at all.

No, done by the radio station, I don't know how they go about deciding it though....
