Was this the original band members who were in the film Sarah?

I know that the original cast members went on the road as The Commitments not long after the movie.
A friend of mine saw them play while Andrew Strong was still with the band.

If they're still touring i'll have to get to one of their gigs.

yeah it was a good night ... it was great to hear Meat Loafs songs live ... we had a good laugh as well ... we were sat in the posh seats (in a box) as Steve called them!

they weren't all original members, as Glen Hansard, who played guitarist 'Outspan' (and fronts 'The Frames') has just won an oscar for best song in a movie for 'Falling Slowly', as featured in 'Once'. He starred in the film and performed the music with Marketa Irglova and has never had anything to do with subsequent tours. I'm pretty sure they now go under the banner 'Dave Finnegan's Commitments', with Dave being the guy who played Mickah Wallace, the drummer/bouncer in the movie The Commitments.

Actually RJ, the show was fantastic - a LOT of fun!
Skynyrd sounded great and really put on a great show.

Hank was sooo much fun! Loads of crowd participation!
The last time I went to see him [20 years ago] he was so drunk, he never made it on stage. This time was 100% improvement! I never realised that he was that good on guitar either - definitely glad I was able to see the show!

Went to see COWBOY MOUTH Friday night in Raleigh, NC (30.5.2008 )
Simply one of the best bands you could ever see live! Tremendous!
