Welcome to the Neighbourhood
Does anyone know why this album was so called? There aren't any obvious references or anything on the album - not that I'm sharp enough to spot, anyway. All meat's other albums have had title tracks - why is this album different?

Here's a more intriguing question, now that that one has been answered. What the hell does that concept have to do with the FRONT COVER??? Who is the chic??? Why is she there??? Why does it look she's about to be murdered??? What does that have to do with the album's title, content or concept???

Yeah, but they don't relate. They don't relate to anything. The album is trying to be a sophisticated concept, but it's really a thrown-together job helmed by an anxious record company. When they tried it again with Meat, he said "up yours" and left. Many years later, he put out a much better and concentrated and powerful and patient album. It would be an injustice not to know the title of that one

I think you are right. The record company pushed too hard cause they knew that the would sell millions even if the songs were crap.

Personally i love Welcome to the neibourhood!!! Every Meat album is different in its own way. The pictures do relate "EXAMPLE" Not a dry eye in the house - the woman leaves and the picture shows the women/wife waking away. They all match they just have a great depth of meaning! I love this and CHSIB! ADAM

I wish the Beacon Theatre gig would get a DVD release. Along with all those other VHS and broadcasts that never made it to disc.
